  • I love this video...both part 1 and 2. I have watched them many times.

  • aflove1971 thanks for the feed back, will keep the lessons coming for people like you

  • Glad to see more people know about the wet and look, good job mate.

  • what if you do find a low spot when you wet the surface, what do you fill it with? then how many layers primer do u spray over that?

  • yup Doc you mark the low area, then fill with polyester. i would use the fine finishing filler

2 coats of spray primer to fill spot repaired area. Restolad

  • @restolad thanks restolad. your videos are excellent btw. thank you for posting.

  • Great series of videos Restolad - thanks for passing on your skills. A question - could you maybe do a video on how to repair a small area of rust in the middle of a large panel of Pearl metallic paint please ? I have to tackle a few of these on my car and I guess it's not easy to match the new paint with the old existing finish ?

  • @UplymeVideo refinish net work , or on you tube jimmoforlife has the best lesson on blending a small repair .

if it was mine & i was spraying pearl mica's i would color the whole panel. Restolad

  • Thanks for taking the time to share your skills, Please keep the videos coming.

  • Thanks for doing these vids! Very, very helpful!

  • Restolad, is that 1K spray equivalent to etch primer? And is there a part 3 where you show us where you spray the 1k then sand it or scotch brite it?

    Thanks, Bren.

  • @nadnerbw no scotch brite ,colour straight over , the PPG formula is 1k but chemically designed so it is compatible with a 2K system restolad

  • @restolad Great video as always. Please could you explain to me what the difference is between the "Rub-through" Primer you show here and any other standard 1k automotive aerosol primer? Thanks, Chris.

  • @christhesnaildriver @christhesnaildriver , the PPG formula is compatible with a 2K system . could try standard aerosol primer - but I've had problems where the base coat halo reaction, where the standard primer touch up was touching the 2k primer . Restolad
