  • @The88Beast no idiot, if 13.5 volts is needed to run the pcm, fuel pump, headlights, etc. then why were all of these functioning properly except the nitrous? Your car cant just decide "well 13.5 for the pcm, 13.5 for fuel pump, 12 for the headlights, and now im low so only 5 volts for the nitrous". If the alternator cant put out enough juice then EVERYTHING goes down. The fact that his headlights didnt dim at all proves that his voltage was good. Educate yourself

  • It's all good, but I never said I had a 406 or a 408. I do remember saying I always wanted to do a turbo but money was never right so I may end up doing a 434 stroked small block instead when this one dies. Anyway I saw Walt this weekend and he said you need to call him about your car ASAP.

  • i called on walts cell cuz he was the one that told me all the talk that was goin on... so called you from his cell nd we talked about it...nd u said i dont recall which one it was u said if it was 406 or 408 nd that u was thinkin about turbochrging ur car... thats what u said.... but i never knew my car was on this til now...but its kol lik i said ur the only one i enjoy racing no harm done i aint in columbus no more im in el paso texas n ft bliss...

  • o yea and he told me it wasnt a 383 he has in the car try biger in the 400s... nd he on drags... im not sayin nothin but bfore u put on wrong info make sure u know bfore u do...i tell u straight out what i have im not goin to lie to you....

  • thats why the next day i call the guy i raced and asked what happen he said i caught up nd passed him.. thats why he is goin to lok into a turbo to.... lok very hard on ur video nd u can c he was a car lenght in front of me nd theres no way in hell he pulled 3-4 car lenght in all motor.. plus u have all info of my car all wrong except the tires.. plus i never was talkin crap he is the only one thats worth racin thats y we always did it for free guy...

    First off we talked after we raced not the next day. And we both know why you caught up, it was mentioned in one of the first post 2 YEARS AGO. Why post now about it? . Even after this video was posted we never got a chance see what those twin turbos can really do against a 383 on the bottle. yes it's a 383 not 400. I would like know when I told you that too? I'm telling you straight up too, I never lied to you not one time. All my cards are on the table all the time.

  • Uh no, just you. When bottle pressure is high it is harder for solenoids to open because of the pressure... pretty common knowledge.

    But the ignition, PCM, fuel pump, headlights, tailights, etc were working fine.

    You Sir are wrong, if the fuel pump takes 12 volts to function properly and ECM needs 12 volts to function properly and then you add head lights and then try to operate Nos too. That my friend is a recipe for bad performance. Go back and read for a change before posting. As a matter of fact the car stuttering real bad on the initial hit and got even worse on the spray.

  • the Iroc got out of it so thats why the mustang caught up and passed. was no need to stay in it after pulling that hard. also the mustang guy knew he was gonna race. he talked smack to get the race to happen. no one's fault but his own if he didnt come prepared.

  • camaro is fast but was on a hell of alot better tires .. camaro rides on mt drag radials and the mustang was on everyday bull shit street tires.

  • I know the owners of both cars. The Iroc runs low 10's on a 150 shot and the Cobra has twin precision turbos. I saw the race too. That camaro got out on him at least 5 cars from the hit, he pulled over after the race to check the alternator because he figured the connector came off. But the voltage regulator was fried pulling 7 volts. I don't think the cobra would have caught up.

  • well that cobra has some major issues going on with it or the driver was whackin off

  • The guy in the cobra was only running 14lbs of boost not 20lbs. He's been having alot issues with that car, it would run good on the dyno, but never ET well at the track. After he and buddies swapped out the turbos he re-dynoed and claimed to have made 796 RWHP prior to running the guy in iroc. By the way that same iroc beat him three times in a row before the new turbos. That iroc is pretty quick, it surprised me too!!! But that cobra should be walking on him anyway!!

  • If you knew anything about EFI I don't think you would've made that comment. The ECM requires a good 12v source to function properly.

    Everything in that car requires at least a 12v source, so if the cars alternator went out during the run the cars performance will fall off and then trying to spray nitrous at the sametime also requires a good 12v source. So please think before posting comments. Now that was one of the dumbest things I've heard

  • Didn't have enough volts for it to spray? That is easily one of the top 10 dumbest things i've heard.
