the choreography is very classy and seems to have complex and sophisticated moves. I love the preview. This is what belly dancing should look like and not the hijacked stripper version we're use to seeing.

did you feel a work out? i love the music, and the dancing but i need to burn alot of calories thats what i worry about, but im so excited to try this it will be a first for me yeah ;*)

it wasn't a cardio workout, but i did sweat a little. :) it doesn't burn a ton of calories, but if you do it consistently it should help with muscle conditioning and flexibility.

if you're interested in other types of dancing, the Samba Reggae workout will have you sweating buckets. and it's fun! :)

actually, once you learn how to do several moves fluidly and do the video everyday for about an hour, you do burn a lot of calories. In the beginning, of course, you don't burn much with starting and stopping all the time, learning the moves but if you have been sedentary for years or have never really exercised, it burns enough to be a full workout. I know a woman who lost 100 lbs doing BD videos (plus changing her eating with it, of course!).

This looks brilliant!  I want info on those red and animal print costumes and shiny pants etc!... Please tell your supplier/designer. I think I've collected just about every dvd produced by World Dance. Thank you ladies for such high quality instruction and filming with the viewer in mind!
