Is there a limit to the size of the micro-sd card you can put in it? I read somewhere you can only put up to a 16GB in it and I'm wondering if that's true...
lol yep, even worse my whole sansa fuze got terminated because i forgot i put it in the glove compartment in my car on a blazing hot day. got it out 2 hours later and it was fried. and the wheel was literately glued onto the fuze LOL. so yeah im not sure it would help much but buy a case for it to protect it.

I love my fuse yet ive never had an Ipod =(. Got a 4gb on ebay new for 42$ and theirs a micro sd slot that supports up to 32 Gb mico sd cards. Plays video but its not really too fun on a 1.8 inch screen found a program on youtube that converts any video files quickly. theres no inner speaker and only a usb cable to charge it no ac adapter. all in all im very happy for the price
These are nice for about six months and then thye start to go bad. I've had mine for a year but one of the buttons stop working and it sometimes just doesn't work...and I took pretty good care of it. Also the micro SD slot didn't work on mine which is weird. But its pretty good for what your paying.

theres a new version of this mp3 player called "sansa fuze+ (plus)" they got rid of the scroll wheel for touch controls.it has a bigger screen with improved access to your music.

@sitadriver it depends on you. in my case, all i wanted was a device that could carry all my music and be able to hook up to my car stereo.i dont care that it doesnt have a camera or that it doesnt play movies in HD.another thing that i like is that you dont have to look at it to find your music.you can navigate through the device just on feel.my cellphone can be used as an mp3 player but i dont use it in that way because it drains battery life.
I have an iPod Touch and a Sansa Fuze. I use Fuze more often. Fuze has better sound quality and I don't have to convert my mp3's or buy off of iTunes. Yes, this MP3 Player is cheap. (about $60) But iPod isn't worth it's price in terms of performance.
I do not recommend buying this. This Sansa Fuze is a POS. Mine runs very very slow. Did all the recommendations in the Sansa website. Called them up just to be asked to do the same things I already did. They could not get it to work. It ended up as a good target from 50 yds :)

Only thing I Don't like about the Fuze: Is It replaces all The Standard Genres with Numbers (129, 7). This is easily fixed by changing them slightly so there not an ID3 Standard (Adding punctuation to the end.)

A very good player- great battery life, well constructed, easy to use, sounds very good, FM player and of course expandable memory. I highly recommend the Fuze.
I have the very first, original sansa, just a small rectangle, no screen no wheel just a rectangle that says sansa and has 3 buttons for next song last song and pause/play/stop and then the volume buttons
Buyer beware! This is a nice mp3 player to use, until the goddamn wheel starts getting stuck on you. I does not takes much, after some regular use, for the wheel to become stuck and inoperable. You can't push down too hard on it to get friction cause you will be,either, changing song, entering the menu, or some other thing you did not intend to do. I really liked my Fuze until the piece of shit wheel failed, just on NORMAL use. I will NEVER buy another one of this POS. Gook luck new owners.
on the bottom of the mp3 player where u plug in the usb wier is that the same size as the ipods because i have somthing that conects them to my car but it only seems to fit ipods
@a1579 The click is played through a speaker by the software, you can turn it off (also you can change the settings so that you see more tracks/artists on the screen at once). Is it a throwaway product? I would say not. Although the user interface is inferior to the iPod and it has a few issues (e.g. the sticky wheel others have mentioned), it's still far better than a flimsy junk $30 no-name. I'd say that by now you have all the information to make an informed choice...
@SumterCountyMayne use window media player, sync the player and drag and drop your music- very simple. Once you dropped your music and unplug the player it witll "refresh the media" and you should see your music. If not visit the Sansa website.

Oh yeh, i forgot to mention the annoying scroll wheel. My work mates told me to shut up when i used it because the wheel click sounded like a woman walking in high heels hahaha LAME.
i bought the 8gb version(+extra 4gb sdcard) some months ago and now it is full.when i plugged it in and tryed to copy some music it said that my memory is full altough the 4gb wasn´t even touched yet.when i open the menu it says that the whole 3878mb on the card are still free but it seems like the player doesn´t accept the card.what shall i do? btw this is really the best mp3 player i can imagine

Bought this last night and returned today for the simple fact that in the review it stated that you can change wallpaper, when this is a fucking lie. You can only choose between a couple of colour presets. IT DOESN'T ALLOW YOU TO CHOOSE A PICTURE AS WALLPAPER! BE WARNED!

Yeah it is, i just got mines and i copied almost 50 songs from my ps3 like i do on a regular mp3, and 1 pic just to see if it worked too n it does. But videos didnt work, idk why.
Creative zen all the way baby...This can't change the background image to add your own photo to the background...that alone throws it off my shelf...I got the creative zen 16gb and it ROCKS
The sound is not bad, but when you add folders even with correct names, usually it does not even show..It shows as 000000123 New or if it does show a name, it still has most of the time numbers in front of it...With creative zen 16GB, any folder i throw at it shows the same...Images, folders, videos, and it also categorizes the whole thing. With this all videos shows as like it in one folder, even if you created several folders for different movie types. SUCKs...
I just got one today and have been playing with it all day. First flaws I noticed is that after the artist menu, there is only play all and albums, no song list under artist. You also cannot go back one menu, you have to go back to home. The scroll wheel also doesn't always respond on command. Switching songs is a little slow. Still good cheap alt to ipod

@SumterCountyMayne use window media player, sync the player and drag and drop your music- very simple. Once you dropped your music and unplug the player it witll "refresh the media" and you should see your music. If not visit the Sansa website.

Oh yeh, i forgot to mention the annoying scroll wheel. My work mates told me to shut up when i used it because the wheel click sounded like a woman walking in high heels hahaha LAME.

i bought the 8gb version(+extra 4gb sdcard) some months ago and now it is full.when i plugged it in and tryed to copy some music it said that my memory is full altough the 4gb wasn´t even touched yet.when i open the menu it says that the whole 3878mb on the card are still free but it seems like the player doesn´t accept the card.what shall i do? btw this is really the best mp3 player i can imagine

Bought this last night and returned today for the simple fact that in the review it stated that you can change wallpaper, when this is a fucking lie. You can only choose between a couple of colour presets. IT DOESN'T ALLOW YOU TO CHOOSE A PICTURE AS WALLPAPER! BE WARNED!

Apart from the fact that the reviews clearly state that it has the ability to change wallpaper, which was a blatant lie.
I use my mp3 player for strength training and it helps alot to have a particular image in the background for a bit of motivation.

Yeah it is, i just got mines and i copied almost 50 songs from my ps3 like i do on a regular mp3, and 1 pic just to see if it worked too n it does. But videos didnt work, idk why.

The sound is not bad, but when you add folders even with correct names, usually it does not even show..It shows as 000000123 New or if it does show a name, it still has most of the time numbers in front of it...With creative zen 16GB, any folder i throw at it shows the same...Images, folders, videos, and it also categorizes the whole thing. With this all videos shows as like it in one folder, even if you created several folders for different movie types. SUCKs...

I just got one today and have been playing with it all day. First flaws I noticed is that after the artist menu, there is only play all and albums, no song list under artist. You also cannot go back one menu, you have to go back to home. The scroll wheel also doesn't always respond on command. Switching songs is a little slow. Still good cheap alt to ipod

For videos, you should use the Sansa Media Converter. You could also try Rockbox.
