Even though most of you will not care I feel as though this is the video to post this. I have always been fascinated by flying ever since I was little I have been wanting to be a pilot of any sort military, commercial, or recreational. @hiddenhalo1 I just went to an airshow in Houston for the 1st time in my life. And it was a blast, I never knew that jet engine from F-16 and F-18 Hornet were that loud but I love it. :)

Do they still have the WW2 fighters with the pyrotechnics? If so what day does that show usually go on? Or do they have it every day of the event? I used to go every year when I was a kid I just cant remember when they did this particular thing

@rainingblood1488 They still do, and it's more spectacular than ever. They do pyrotechnics on Friday and Saturday, and an amazing firework/pyrotechnic display at night on Saturday, which is a MUST-see. See you there. I'll be there for 10 days. (4 days prior to opening day)

@rainingblood1488 The "Warbirds Spectacular" is done within the daily air show (between 3-5pm) on Friday and Saturday. (Maybe Sunday as well, you'll need to look.)  Go to airventure(dot)org and go to attractions>air shows.

@rainingblood1488 Yes, there is a huge camp ground for everything from primitive camping, for generators, for pets, for full hookups, you name it. There is also info on that on the website. It's a huge event, so hotels, apartments, homes, and even school dorms are booked pretty fast. For either way you want to do it, the best time to begin booking would be as soon as possible.

ok..so i plan on going to eaa airventure this year...when i look at the airshows for each day...it doesnt look like there are that many military performances.... do they not put ALL of the days performances n there??? or are there just not as many this year!?!!?

@hockey161616 The air show portion of the day (from 3-5pm) features civilian performances only I'm afraid. If you come on a Friday it is likely that a C-130, C-17, C-5, etc may do an overhead pass then land. Oshkosh does not have a large enough airspace "box" (due to homes, etc on the other side of the runway) to feature military demonstrations (i.e. F-16's, F-15s). This year will have the AV-8 though. Go to airventure(dot)org and go to "attractions" then "air shows" to see who's flying when.

The pilots briefing for the DC-3 and C-47 arrival in to OSH on tht opening Monday was top secret and only shown to actual crew only on the Monday morning prior to departure. gamestopper100, the airplane at 1:05 is an OV-1D Mohawk. The aircraft was flown by the US Army since 1962 and was retired from the active US Army after the Desert Storm War. The one in the video is privately owned. Go to Facebook and friend Dennis Hegland he flies this aircraft at airshows today. The Argentine Government bought all the OV-1s and flies them now as an intelligence platform and close air support aircraft.

at 0:54 is a v-22 osprey right and what wateraircraft is that at 0:59 and what plane is that at 1:05 and 1:30 im guessing thats a c8. whats at 1:35 and 1:43 annnd 2:06 i think its a military boeing or something. and what is that heli at 3:23 and the heli at 4:09 and the heli at 4:55

@gamestopper100 You are correct. The aircraft at 0:54 is indeed the Osprey. @ 0:59 is an OV-1 Mohawk. Used in Vietnam for Observation and did much Nighttime photography. 1:05 through 1:43 are all C-47s. Civilian Designation was DC-3. @ 2:06 is a C-17. Somewhat smaller than a C-5 Galaxy, this aircraft replaced the C-141 Starlifter. I can't help with the 3 Helicopters
