The readysteady is a better option for pocket video cameras. Doesn't need a stationary object to work. Better for panning or tilting -- not just static shots. Better yet, readysteady really does fit in your pocket.

It doesn't just have to be used as a tripod. It can also be used as a stand for your iPod if your using it as a gps, or if you don't want to hold it, and if you want it to stand by its self.

i just bought mine(same as yours). just a second ago i learned that when you seperate the holder of the gorilla and have it attached to the cam, you can tighten the screw to limit the cams movement. i plan to use this pod on my motorcycle.

the motorcycle is a 2007 Gs500F. feel free to reasearch on how it can fit.

I have one, but didn't come with any sort of "lock" at the very top joint. I placed my Kodak Zi8 on it to use, but without a lock on the top joint, it sags sideways because of the cams' design. To counteract this with a design like the taller Zi8, take OFF the top joint, and cut grooves in the joint, and put it back on. The roughness prevents movement, and all is right with the world again!

I got mine today, U have to get the one for SLR if ur camera is big, it holds my Point and shot camera also my camcorder. I just looked @ Ur camera it will hold this one will hold it. Go for it! BTW I would not recomend snaping Joints, It kneels down U don't have to bust pieces up on it! Enjoy!

There are several models, such as Original (made for compact), SLR (up to 800g), SLR Zoom (1,2kg) and SLR Focus (3kg). Altough they have a good weight limit, be on the safe side and go for a bit higher, the original and other models bend when they are near their limit.

I think when you take legs apart like that it is what makes it not work as well.I had the smaller gorrila pod for normal point and shoots. I have recently sold my old camera and bought a Canon g9 which is a bit heavier. I bought a new gorilla pod with my new camera and a week or two later I lost the it when I went to a concert. Now I am trying to decide weather I want to buy the bigger gorrilla pod since my new camera is heavier.
