@marianchka some of the UP Big Boys did get the "Elephant Ear" smoke deflectors. The pilot does look big, but it still doesn't take away the charm of the 4-8-8-4

What happened to big one! Whats with the smoke deflecters and the cast iron plow! She looked so much cooler befor with the spoked pilot, she looked like a Union Pacific Big-Boy...now she looks like a cross between a Norfolk and Western A1 and a Pennsy K4!

If you remember from the last episode of Season 1, Big one rammed thru a set of walls in the Grand Command ship, causing it to totally destroy the front guiding truck and seriously crumple up the firebox.

Later you will find that the new front truck splits apart and opens up, reviling the Cosmo Matrix Cannon, much like how the Iron Berger had the hidden cannon in it's boiler.

@TheRailroadwolf Some of the UP Challengers (like 3977) did have smoke deflectors, so it's safe to assume that a few big boys wore them too. If not, it was probabily an error mistaking a 4-6-6-4 for a 4-8-8-4. Still, it keeps is "Big Boy" charm, even with the elephant ears, and the snow plow. After all, these engines were used in mountainous areas and probabily did have a plow outfitted at one time or another, much like the SP Cab forwards.

Letter From An Abandoned Planet is not licensed in the USA so that means no subs. You can't really except subs for GE999 seeing as how they never officially translated the original series to English or gave them subs...
