Strangly the scene at 4:44 ("bad guy" killed in saloon) is not in the original film but in the silly "alternative happy ending". It seams - not sure - that 5:18 comes also of a "deleted scene" (Trintignant speaks ?????)
Corbucci, Sollima, Leone. 'The Great Silence' is one of the best of the best. Oh these three directors, each made classics (more than one). I have to say tho, my personal favorite of the three is Corbucci even tho I enjoy all three directors.
Corbucci when he was 'on' had some shots that were truly jaw dropping, only Mario Bava had better shots (when Corbucci was on his mark).
Also check out 'Battle of the Titans' an early Corbucci Sword n Sandal. Awesome epic, music, look, everything.

The Great Silence is such an amazing film. It's one of those movies you just want to coax everybody you know into seeing it.
