Of course the bottom breaks first as the force transfers upwards from the bottom. You push also makes it tons easier lifting the bottom so it slaps the stand snapping it with the added weight of the top bricks. Do it not lifting the edge. Really, that is the oldest "trick" on how do do a break.
Funny people call this a "trick" because someone can break bricks on uneven surface without spacer while calling those breaking a large pile WITH SPACERS as some marvelous "achievement". Really funny.
BTW, there is nothing in this universe that is not governed by physics. So explaining the physics behind something doesn't mean it is a "trick".
@yottky being a "brick bully" doesn't makes you possess the technique to "knock a opponen down" ... lol When Great master of Iron Palm Ku Yu Cheung demo his Iron Palm it was a stack of direct hit of 16 brick without spacer or as this video using the finger to push lift the pile of brick hand hit it to knock the bottom one. .... and yes you're right it's all about physic... but KU YU CHEONG iron palm is the F=MA physics... Force = Mass x Acceleration! The M&A all comes from his hand...
OMG you guys, it's not a trick. It's also not easy to do, although it is easy to explain. It does require technique, and through physics the bricks are broken. Good video, good technique. KEEP TRAINING! :-)
Very good but brick not hit back..Seriously i have started Iron Palm training but it is designed to be combat effective if you have to build up chi for that long you're not acheiving a combat ready Iron Palm :)
like ballance balls, all the force is transfered brick by brick because they are fully supported no gap and touching, and all the force ends up on the end brick like the end ballance ball that goes flying, the brick cant go flying so it pushes against the straight holder which wont break so the force is sent outwads to the sides causing a crack :)
I am 59, a 7th degree and I still break various targets. I have broken all types of bricks...some easily and some not so easy. It does require technique, concentration and OMG yes physics. ALL aspects of Martial Arts is physics of some sort. That is why you can throw someone, why an armbar works, pressure points etc. This type of breaking can test your control. He could have broken only the top two or one if used a different type strike such as a speed chop rather than a power one like he used.
It may be a trick, it may not be but physics can not be denied. Fire brick are NOT hard as he says and they, in fact, are very brittle which means they break easily. @IEKUKATAKA the harder something is the easier to find the cleavage and its how even diamonds *(hardest thing on earth) can break. besides, theres better things in life than making ones own hand into a hammer and just end up with arthritis and other nerve damage.
@IEKUKATAKA im 47 so ive lived long enough to have been in quite a few battles; when growing up, used to practice pounding walls and actually got my hands pretty tough, problem is by the age of 17 i was in pain even just on light windy days (in autumn at that) had to wear gloves and put my hand over a stove just to ease the pain. i was blessed in finding a chinese doctor who helped me and tai chi also cured my hands problems. i now have very soft and strong hands, doing this is madness really.
@kahetel13 It actually can be done with little lasting effects, however, the west does not understand how and are generally too impatient to endure oriental methods. That is also why western karate generally sux. My last teacher did a lot of breaking in his younger life, stopped and his hands returned to a normal state with no scarring, deformation etc. i would like to try Tai Chi but know of no teachers nearby.
@IEKUKATAKA im sure bone density is one of the benefits of breaking; things i was emphasizing was i had damaged my hands to the point i was like i had the athritic hands of an 80 year old at 17. today i wear no gloves even in very very cold weather. Tai Chi is not the only art . pick up the book "The Way of Energy" by Lam Kam Chuen great stuff . also be advised i respect external and all arts just was sharing my personal events lol:) you can teach yourself let no one bullshit you
@kahetel13 diamond is hard, but quite fragile. it can withstand enormous contact pressure, but the slightest bending or twisting motion easily breaks it. Same with bricks and other ceramics. Hard, but not tough, and not elasitc. That's why they're used in breaking demonstrations. A piece of wood the same thickness as those bricks would be impossible to break on that surface. Even though you can cut it with a saw, while the brick would completely dull your saw in minutes.
There's a reason he places 2 fingers on the edge of the top brick: pressure causes the bricks to slightly separate resulting in a concussion break of the bottom brick (domino effect). Try it yourself (especially with these light-compound bricks) and you'll easily be able to recreate the break:)
Obviously the person above me has no idea what he is talking about and I went and talked to a physics professor and he said thats unexplainable reason being the velocity of his hand if it broke the bottom two, would also have to break through the first ones so obviously you know nothing when it comes to martial arts or physics for that matter.
This is a great demonstration! My friend new a man who practiced bagwa. This guy could give a kidney palm blow that you would piss blood with no dammage to the skin. I think internal blows are awesome for principle but not very practical.
I admit it's a cool thing, but it's not special. The principle I stated works to same for breaking all of them. Not to confuse you with the vid as well.
it was tilting!! lol so what, sweet break. not many people understand the training that is needed to do such a thing, why make a video if it was fake.
no it is not a trick he put his fingers on the brick to keep them from moving yes but its till not a trick i have seen many people do this. what happens is the force of the palm causing small vibrations in the bricks that get stronger with each brick causing the bottom one to break
real iron palm requires no tricks. This actually might be legitimate, but the truth of the matter is that what you're saying is ridiculous. You don't need to "hold" bricks to keep them from moving when you break. even if you are selectively breaking.
@actionmanrandell this is a trick I learned this at age 8 he does lift the bricks with his two fingers unfortunately for him no one showed him how to hide it better lol. You can see it plane as day when he does it, watch again if you need to, then the force of the bottom brick slamming into the base is what breaks the bottom brick not vibration. Not in this case anyhow!!!
@shadowman45810 no where does any of those bricks lift up when he has his fingers on them your seeing things and i dont care what you have learned at 8 you can clearly see that they dont move until he lifts them up after he hit them
@griexdast If I cheated like this guy then yes I could do it too. If you want to see how breaks are supposed to be done is a relaxed manner using internal energy then go to my page and watch my video on Heavy Hand breaking.
@shadowman45810 yes i watch it already, but you break a brick....even though your brick more heavier than mine, but i can still break it (im not a martial artist) but then i did this guy type, using smaller bricks of course, do the tilting thing, but no matter how many times i tried the result not the same like the video which is last brick only.....mine sometimes first brick, sometimes all break, sometimes first and second but never only last brick, so im asking you if you could do that??
@griexdast Its ok about your grammar, I have some videos somewhere I'll try to find for you of me doing it with red bricks which are about 3 times thicker than what this guy is using, Breaking is pointless though really, I'd rather just focus on self defense and martial arts. Was it Bruce Lee that said Bricks don't hit back ;)
@umdoisdasilvatres The more it's stacked, the easier it is to break it. The weight of the blocks makes the other break easier as well. It takes more force to break a single one than it does stacked.
@umdoisdasilvatres er. Physics is also used in Chakra..so I don't know what you are talking about, thats why you have people sniffing in and out: they Channel there Soul and Chi (same thing) to produce extreme energy to apoint a particluar area, But people who slack off with media junk weakeing it, this also is a technique thats used in all areas of fighting, Physics one question are you a martial artist? do you bellieve in God? These are the two charcterstics that performs increase in soul pwr
You said it RIGHT, and always difficult to find a proper word for this chinese abstract stuff.
SOUL is not quite proper for 神, Chi is okay as it's just a phonetic for it, and this 神 is not connected with God,, let's say the way like Chi and say it 神 as Suun, the problem is THERE IS NO EQUIVALENT IN LANGUAGES,
hey cool circus/magic trick! hahahaha! REAL level-breaking doesn't NEED the two-finger lift from the 'other' hand at all!, lol! Wooo, mystical kung-fu from the 70s' B.S.!
Look, I do appreciate the fact that you don't use spacers and I'm sure you are well trained. But..don't.. put your fingers on one end. It lifts the bricks.Simple.Maybe you don't know it.
I actually do think theres something to all this. As I read about it and heard of H, Kanazawa doing it too. Just tired of all the bs.Huge piles of ice with spacers to show off. Guys up on ladders to get over there stack etc etc etc.yeah there breaking a ton, whatever.Maybe when your 19.People are laughing at us.
I don't doubt that you see this all the time with your own eyes (although I kind of do), but I don't think you understand the physics behind it. Dont get me wrong. I study a martial art that highly involves internal energy and I am not doubting that, but this kind of demonstration is just as bogus as breaking a brick on a step.
I have to agree unfortunately. The brick gets a small lift on the viewer's left side. When the brick hits the support it cracks due to impact from both sides. The technique in itself is fine. It is the method that is flawed here, so i have to say that this constitutes fraud only in a small sense. But fraud nonetheless
ok stop trying to bully. you know as well as we do that the brick is lifted. you can plainly see it in the vid and the fingers are lifted so the brick is hit at the same moment it hits the base. dont give us real breakers a bad image!!!
I try not to discredit things of this nature that seem legit, but this isn't one of those things. The whole point of putting the fingers on the corner of the stack of bricks is to create a gap between the bottom of the stack and the larger brick. So when he smacks the bricks, they slam down on the larger brick and the bottom of the stack get all the energy. These bricks are also very had, but very brittle.
It would seem he lifted the bottom tile so that he kept the two pieces together. had he lifted it the other way, you would see where the tile was broke.
yea, it is a common way to fake the Iron palm. He could have at least faked it better and baked the bricks or something. Cloud forest bilks people out of about 10 grand to teach them the "iron palm" lol.
I guess that you pay by the level. You pay about 400 per level and there are supposedly 18 levels. You figure in gas and bricks, you have well over 10 grand invested when it is all said and done. I have a challenge from their school to come down and test their teachings. I will let them "iron palm" my arm and some bricks that I select.
I agree with him this is not iron palm he uses his left finger to lift the bottom brick off the block a little and then hits them which is fake, break.
i agree the bottom brick was warped, i've said that before. i've done that style of break many times. im not trying to bullshit anyone. soon im going to post more iron palm and iron body demo's. look for thosein the near future
I think that is more or less dodging the fact that this iron palm demonstration shows pure technique. If you do not believe that all the bricks were normal or unaltered then you should find more iron palm vids or perhaps you should go find a sifu who can demonstrate this right before your eyes ... maybe then you'll believe. I can do this which is why I know it isn't fake.
whoever here thinks that this is some paler trick I would love to see one of you to try and Duplicate this Same break using the same bricks and form....ooo and just to tell ya without the training you can rupture your organs internally good luck
Blndrfist claims there is an angle on the bricks. Does anyone else see this mystical angle ? I do not see it. All I see is a skilled martial artist using proper form to break bricks and there are no tricks or gimmicks there. Btw Blndrfist even if I make a vid of me breaking bricks ( which I could ) you are fixed in your beliefs and you'll never accept even that which is right in front of your own eyes. Surely you have turrets ? some cognitive disorder perhaps.
Blndrfist if you want to be juvenile and call people names and insult them because you cannot think of anything intellectual to say that is nobody's fault buy your own. You should really do more research and perhaps you should visit a Wing Chun sifu some day and tell them that you think his style is not any good, and tell them that you challenge him. I really would like to hear back from you and find out what happens. I think everyone else would too...
Something else that should be said is that anyone who's worth listening to doesn't have to call others derogatory names or insult them to get their point across. To bully someone shows both ignorance and insecurity. Look at the cry baby comment you made on here earlier. Are you raelly that insecure. Tell me when did a good Kung Fu stylist teach you a lesson because you are wearing that on your sleeve man. You make it quite obvious that you are insecure. Secure people have nothing to prove.
FAKE!Watch closely for yourself & see the illusion. Watch the bottom brick rise off the base & create a gap. After the break the bottom brick is Flat again. Just Watch the video knowing this knowledge & you see for yourself how this is TRULY done.I am not exposing secret Magician secrets here.I am exposing FAKES in the Martial Arts creating the illusion of a skill they do not have. BEWARE next time this guy will be wise enough not to expose the gap on the viewing side...Actually probably not.
TIGERWAZA I'll tell you the same thing I told Blndrfist as well. You guys are both delusional. I can do this technique and it doesn't work because of that gap. It simply works because of transferring the energy from his hand through the bricks and having precise control. Maybe you guys just can't fathom that. Oh and if he didn't hold the bricks down they would bounce and create a bigger gap and then THAT would contribute to the break. Thank you very much. :-)
FAKE! The Bricks are flat until he places his finger on the corner of the stack making it tilt creating a small gap under the bottom brick allowing the it to smash into the base causing the break. AT exactly :30 you see the bricks tilt creating a gap. FAKE BREAK not caused by any SKILL just fakery. ANyone could do this same trick. These fakes need to be exposed to the people they attempt to B.S. sorry! Don't send me hate mail. Ask him to do this with the bottom actually FLAT -wont happen -slick
Wooow he only broke the last brick!! I saw this technique in the "Bloodsport" movie but I thought this technique did not exist. I saw many times Iron Palm bricks breaking but nothing like this, what is the name of this technique?
Are you a fucking idiot? It's a simple fucking trick you stupid douche. Don't you see his two left fingers pushing down on the edge of the stack asshole? Right before he connects the bottom right side of the stack rises off the grey supporting block. Fucking pay attention you fool; this and all things like it are just tricks. Give up the oriental mystification and stupification; think critically for a change you credulous retard.
Actually I find it highly amusing that you are still trying to debunk traditional MA's and preaching about getting people into McDojos. How old are you again ? I won't pick on you too much for showing everyone your maturity level. I can tell you firsthand though I can do this break and no it isn't a trick because I've done it personally. That effect is from control and internal power. It wouldn't matter if he was 90 lbs he could still do it. That is proper form and execution.
You're a fucking douchebag of the highest order. Where did I tell people to sign up for mcdojo bullshit? Mcdojo oriental mystification is for assholes like you; not serious fighters. Show us you doing this trick without the fucking fingers acting to angle the fucking bricks you shit-tard loser. The asshole in this video is a fraud and you're a witless moron.
No you again; I thought by now you had cunted off back to your little anime, naruto world of oriental stupidity. You've found the right video; you'll fight right in with the freaks here. You also will believe 100% in this video and that there is no trick on the transferring of magical "chi" to break the break. You're one of the biggest losers on youtube, you should be proud.
Im almost certian that anyone could do this. Anyone notice how he used his left hand to hold down that side of the boards. look how the opposite side came off the brick. Slightly, yes, but enough to put the force on that bottom board.
Everyone go search Patrick McCarthy Koryu Uchinadi. This is the guy that taught Shorinteacher aka Ifukwhatever how to be the supreme killer of all Kung Fu stylists! Remember all of the crap he talked about traditions, ineffective MA's etc. When you're done laughing read back through all of his posts. If you haven't pissed yourself laughing after watching those videos and thinking about what that retard claims, I'll have to shake your hand! Shorin post yourself doing that kama kata OMFG LOL!!!
Shorinteacher, The Koryu Uchinadi system, from what I've read was simply lacking the training that Sensei McCarthy added. However, all of the skills, etc came from kata, training techniques, etc. If not the system needed balance/completion. The bottom line is that the core skills are there, and it's up to the instructor to do his job and assist students in filling their gaps. Koryu is close to what we do, again everything becomes like CMA in the end, a well rounded method to completing oneself.
You're a complete idiot... I can fight just fine. I have my share of concrete scrapes, tooth scars on my knuckles, and bruised bones. Little pussies like you, get online and talk shit on solid battlefield tested CMA's and think that someone will give a shit about your crappy wanna be kung fu systems, that you've had to "adapt to modern times" or "improve" because you simply suck or your fake ass teacher sucks. You're 25 years and 230lbs of wasted time and fraudulent bullshit. Go train your MMA.
good iron palm skill weiliaddison, i know shorindoucheteacher is jealous of you and real afraid of you too, keep up good work but dont do like shorin asshole, he is a street fighter (gAY) dude he fights his gay lover every day of douche bags, to see who can drink the most douche jucie or carpet munch queer, dont woory shorin(fake)teacher is all talk hes just needs a mommy, like captain hook but the alligator is gonna get his ass and kick it good right gator? where is gator anyway
WEILIAddiFAGS mom was a real cock slob! I hit her in the shitter and gave her a nice romantic dirty sanchez! WeiliFAG was outside the room watching, TOO SCARED to say anything. I found out he was out there about 9 hours later when I gave her a quart sized facial and then dicked slapped her. When the gigantic wet sounding smack of giant dong against wrinkled face occured, he let out a muffled cry. Little BITCH!
Jeremy watched while his whore mother got railed. His dad was unconscious from an IRON PALM to the back of his fat head. After I banged the slut, I hit her with a bear paw strike, only HER EGGS broke! Now his brothers and sisters will be more retarded than him!
come on by buddy we'll see what you have to say face to face. unless of course if your scared. most likely you'll continue to talk a bunch a bullshit but never back up a damn thing. just like the cowardly little bitch i thought you were. come by, if its to far for you to come then let me know where your at.
LOL! Dude I have got to make my very own shorindoucheteacher login right away! That looks like fun! Actually, shorindouche... I like you much better than shorinteacher. He's a jerk off nobody that irritates me with his stereotypical dime a dozen bullshit mentality, and you actually made me laugh for the first time on this post! Awesome
Good point! I see you've learned some more vulgar language as well. Did you get that from your MMA gym? I can't wait to enroll my kids so they can learn how to be a foul mouthed inconsiderate idiot. Keep lifting weights and punching your heavy bag dick yanker, maybe someday you'll grow up to be a man.

Oh man, it´s a trick... (physics)
The surface's "table" is not so plane...
Can you see at 0:17?! That's why he puts 2 fingers so as to stop the bricks moving at 0:29!
So, when you hit the bricks, you can break only the bootm one!
I think he is a marcial artist, but it looks like a trick....
umdoisdasilvatres 2 years ago 48
no it is not a trick he put his fingers on the brick to keep them from moving yes but its till not a trick i have seen many people do this. what happens is the force of the palm causing small vibrations in the bricks that get stronger with each brick causing the bottom one to break
actionmanrandell 2 years ago
real iron palm requires no tricks. This actually might be legitimate, but the truth of the matter is that what you're saying is ridiculous. You don't need to "hold" bricks to keep them from moving when you break. even if you are selectively breaking.
die694 2 years ago
@actionmanrandell this is a trick I learned this at age 8 he does lift the bricks with his two fingers unfortunately for him no one showed him how to hide it better lol. You can see it plane as day when he does it, watch again if you need to, then the force of the bottom brick slamming into the base is what breaks the bottom brick not vibration. Not in this case anyhow!!!
shadowman45810 1 year ago
@shadowman45810 no where does any of those bricks lift up when he has his fingers on them your seeing things and i dont care what you have learned at 8 you can clearly see that they dont move until he lifts them up after he hit them
actionmanrandell 1 year ago
@actionmanrandell no douchbag if you look at 0:29 you can clearly see them raise up. Look again

griexdast 1 year ago
@griexdast If I cheated like this guy then yes I could do it too. If you want to see how breaks are supposed to be done is a relaxed manner using internal energy then go to my page and watch my video on Heavy Hand breaking.
shadowman45810 1 year ago
@shadowman45810 yes i watch it already, but you break a brick....even though your brick more heavier than mine, but i can still break it (im not a martial artist) but then i did this guy type, using smaller bricks of course, do the tilting thing, but no matter how many times i tried the result not the same like the video which is last brick only.....mine sometimes first brick, sometimes all break, sometimes first and second but never only last brick, so im asking you if you could do that??
griexdast 1 year ago
@shadowman45810 im sorry with my grammar
griexdast 1 year ago
@griexdast Its ok about your grammar, I have some videos somewhere I'll try to find for you of me doing it with red bricks which are about 3 times thicker than what this guy is using, Breaking is pointless though really, I'd rather just focus on self defense and martial arts. Was it Bruce Lee that said Bricks don't hit back ;)
shadowman45810 1 year ago
very observant! i must agree with you.
goodtimes616 2 years ago

These are the two charcterstics that performs increase in soul pwr
loliconagent 9 months ago
@loliconagent

Guys up on ladders to get over there stack etc etc etc.yeah there breaking a ton, whatever.Maybe when your 19.People are laughing at us.
danbau08 2 years ago
I don't doubt that you see this all the time with your own eyes (although I kind of do), but I don't think you understand the physics behind it. Dont get me wrong. I study a martial art that highly involves internal energy and I am not doubting that, but this kind of demonstration is just as bogus as breaking a brick on a step.

JaJaSei 2 years ago
I have to agree unfortunately. The brick gets a small lift on the viewer's left side. When the brick hits the support it cracks due to impact from both sides. The technique in itself is fine. It is the method that is flawed here, so i have to say that this constitutes fraud only in a small sense. But fraud nonetheless
die694 2 years ago
ok stop trying to bully. you know as well as we do that the brick is lifted. you can plainly see it in the vid and the fingers are lifted so the brick is hit at the same moment it hits the base. dont give us real breakers a bad image!!!
sctrep 2 years ago 2
I try not to discredit things of this nature that seem legit, but this isn't one of those things. The whole point of putting the fingers on the corner of the stack of bricks is to create a gap between the bottom of the stack and the larger brick. So when he smacks the bricks, they slam down on the larger brick and the bottom of the stack get all the energy. These bricks are also very had, but very brittle.
1465225568 2 years ago 2
no its to stop them from moving

I guess that you pay by the level. You pay about 400 per level and there are supposedly 18 levels. You figure in gas and bricks, you have well over 10 grand invested when it is all said and done. weiliaddison 2 years ago

MartialArtistGuy1981 3 years ago 2
Blndrfist if you want to be juvenile and call people names and insult them because you cannot think of anything intellectual to say that is nobody's fault buy your own. You should really do more research and perhaps you should visit a Wing Chun sifu some day and tell them that you think his style is not any good, and tell them that you challenge him. I really would like to hear back from you and find out what happens. I think everyone else would too...
MartialArtistGuy1981 3 years ago 3

TIGERWAZA 3 years ago
TIGERWAZA I'll tell you the same thing I told Blndrfist as well. You guys are both delusional. I can do this technique and it doesn't work because of that gap. It simply works because of transferring the energy from his hand through the bricks and having precise control. Maybe you guys just can't fathom that. Oh and if he didn't hold the bricks down they would bounce and create a bigger gap and then THAT would contribute to the break. Thank you very much. :-)
MartialArtistGuy1981 3 years ago 2

MartialArtistGuy1981 3 years ago 2

Everyone go search Patrick McCarthy Koryu Uchinadi. This is the guy that taught Shorinteacher aka Ifukwhatever how to be the supreme killer of all Kung Fu stylists! Remember all of the crap he talked about traditions, ineffective MA's etc. When you're done laughing read back through all of his posts. If you haven't pissed yourself laughing after watching those videos and thinking about what that retard claims, I'll have to shake your hand! Shorin post yourself doing that kama kata OMFG LOL!!!
rendao1977 3 years ago
Shorinteacher, The Koryu Uchinadi system, from what I've read was simply lacking the training that Sensei McCarthy added. However, all of the skills, etc came from kata, training techniques, etc. If not the system needed balance/completion. The bottom line is that the core skills are there, and it's up to the instructor to do his job and assist students in filling their gaps. Koryu is close to what we do, again everything becomes like CMA in the end, a well rounded method to completing oneself.
