Oh my goodness, this is totally inappropriate behavior for a dog- even a shiba. It could be understandable if it's towards another dog. But to the owner?? My adult shiba has never acted this way. But it was hard work. We never tolerated this kind of behavior even as a puppy. It seems this little guy has not been taught properly and bad behavior has already escalated. You need professional help, my friend.
i have a female shiba inu and she never and i mean NEVER acted this way.. our dog is very clam and you can literally take the a bone out of her mouth.. she never gets protective with her toys or any belongings.. i guess you need to train her to share.
It is so easy to play cyber dog specialist. This behaviour is really instictive. The dog turns into "guard"-mode - everything else is blocked from its mind. Shouting "no, naughty girl!" won't help.
If little kid tries to pet her in "guard"-mode she will bite. I would call it a hard way to learn not to pet angry dog! ;)
I'm not going to pretend to be an expert I just watch too much of the Dog Whisperer with Cesar Millan. I don't even own a dog nowadays. Anyway, you're right...about the kids. haha
I think this is pretty common with shibas. My shiba does this as well. But I tell him "easy" and he'll let me take the object.

not to pry but maybe you should have socialized her more and no need for words like cunt

You shouldn't let your dog become this unbalanced. Would be ashame if a little kid was trying to pet the dog.
