I've been meaning to apologise for my previous comment since the moment I posted it. (More accurately; since just before I posted it. I'm aware of my habit of digging holes & throwing myself into them, just to see if I can get out... but that's another story.) But this is not to say that I didn't mean what I said though; I did. It was just rude & inappropriate, particularly because it was the first time I'd ever commented here. Not exactly a great 'first impression' to create.
@TWITfromURANUS (2) Of the relatively few poems I know, it's this one that always brings me close to tears when I hear it, so I honestly just felt disappointed when I heard your recitation. But instead of saying nothing (as I should have), the demon on my shoulder was whispering; 'Go-on, say it. You know it's the truth, so why not? Who does he think he is anyway?' ... LOL. Oh dear. I don't know whether this has made me seem more nuts or what, but there it is...
You've said "clothes of heaven a few times", but everywhere I've read that poem, online and my copy of a collection of his poems, it's always been spelt "cloths of heaven".
Am I reading poor reproductions? Is "clothes" what was meant?... Bit confused ol' bean.

We should compare analyses.

@theowarner Our conversations are far too infrequent. We'll have to do something about that.

Yeah.
For some reason Lord Byron comes to mind. "There is a pleasure in the pathless woods." All that.

@theowarner There are literary axies we're falling along, leylines of verse guiding the course. The 5 great Romantics and their legacy.
