I liked the video, but I had alot more fun reading the idiotic ranting that the Mustang owner was posting. The guy has obviously never spent time with a later style 4th gen 'Bird. I've driven Mustangs a few times, and was always ecstatic to get back into my Firebird afterward. I still love the beautiful styling of it. The most hysterical thing though, is that my g/f (who drives a Corolla) drove a Mustang GT 4.6L the other day, and the only thing she could say afterward was "NO BALLS!"
The ones speaking against are boneheads. I have an 02' Collector Edition and guarantee it will smoke anything these guys can put up......no exactly stock anymore, but is still kind of street legal.

Declining sales, horrid looking body, lack of innovative design engineering and or losing out to Mustang sales. I guess they might slouch one back up by doing what they usually did, copying their Camaro platform, adding a dumb hood scoop and some different trim levels and call it a Trans Am/Firebird lol
It was rather large and boaty, when it didn`t need such mass. I don`t really root for any team, despite being a Mustang GT owner, i just feel that by 1999, the redesigned Mustang just looked waaaay better. As for performance stockwise, GM had an easy formula, it just kept doing small improvements and unrestricting their jurassic engines. However cowardly move or smart move, it worked and to be honest the 94-2003 camaro is starting to grow on me.
It was selling more than enough. That's bullshit & corporate excuses. The entire platform was left to languish intentionally in order to try to get the sales numbers down low enough that they could break contract with the CAW at St Therese. GM simply did NOT want to make them anymore - but they WERE profitable, make no mistake about it.
