Usually you can tell the difference in sound just by the different tones, considering that classical uses nylon in the bottom three strings. Barring that, the headstocks will look different, with classical guitars having holes in them, while acoustics will look more like electric guitars.
I know this comment was made a year ago but classical guitars have nylon strings for all 6 strings, not just the bottom 3. The 'top' 3 strings are nylon but wound with really thin metal.
You must mean "Samus Stardrive" bears similarity to Don's tune, since "So Little Time" was released in 1995 and "Samus Stardrive" was released in 2005. In other words, Don influenced Andy, not vice versa. :)
man this guy have som skills alright :-D don ross god has given you a talent thats for sure. never heard anyone play with such feeling like don ross and andy mckee.. amazing.

So would I be somewhat correct in saying that the tuning is in an open F, or do I have to brush up on my theory?

lol how can people talk during this.. -.-
Memorandumi 3 years ago
It was a workshop, not a concert. Most of the talking was one guitarist asking another: "What's the name of this tune?" etc.

It's one thing to play these songs...let alone to sit down and write them. Imagine the hours he puts in when putting these arrangements together!

I just find it amazing how well he can recall all these old songs of his, when they're all in irregular tunings!
