We had a similar experience off the coast of British Columbia. We were in my 17' open canoe when we ran into a pod of killer whales. They would rise up beneath us. My wife was so scared that she froze while I laughed so hard that I almost dumped the canoe. But I have to admit that I was scared too. I guess I just showed it by laughing.
