I'm seeing the Broadway revival of "Evita" on March 12, 2012, its first preview. Patti LuPone's interpretation is her own. Elena's way of singing is hers to make as she can. I'll be curious how it turns out.

The tempo of the song is much slower than the original Broadway production. I am sure it is much easier for Ms. Roger to sing, but I prefer the more frenetic pace of the original.
