Haven't watched this video for awhile and I absolutely love it. They quit doing it on tour in favor of other covers, but it's a favorite of mine.  Thank goodness for youtube. I think Chris Cornell is great but he doesn't seem like that nice a guy. Who knows. Fame does strange things to people.

Looks like David Cook is a big Chris Cornell fan. He sang Chris's version of Billie jean, this, and Chris wrote Light on for him. Cook has a great voice, a bit reminiscent of Chris's voice in the 90's but surely,he can't touch him vocally. However, he is one of the best voices out there today!

I'm so glad that Dave and Andy are in a band together again. Too bad Andy didn't join until after the CD was finished,though. I would've loved to have heard him sing on it. But hopefully,after the whole Idol thing wears off, they can be a real band, maybe a 2-vocalist band like Temple of the Dog. That would be awesome. Both of these guys are amazing.

Yeah, I've watched this about 7,000 times now.

2:53 is special, but I love 1:40 when he belts out his first "I'm still hungry" and that person in the audience yells out "Yeeahhhh!" And of course, 3:25, when Andy says "Come on, David f****** Cook!" So great. I love those two.

This is a brilliant cover and David Cook is amazing in it. I love Andy; he was a great frontman for MWK, but Cook stole the show on this night.

I would LOVE to hear David sing this on the tour with Michael Johns. Michael has kind of an Eddie Vedder quality to his voice,so that should rock.

I would also love to hear Andy on David's CD,at least as a backing vocalist on a song or 2. But it would really be awesome if they could start their own 2 singer band like Temple of the Dog,Alice in Chains,Linkin Park,etc. That would really kick ass.

TOTD never planned to release more than the one CD - this album was a tribute to Andy Wood, (lead singer from Mother Love Bone), who died of an overdose shortly before their first album, Apple, came out. Hunger Strike was the only single that got any attention which was a shame - the entire album was amazing - and this is not the best cover I have heard - tho David Cook is fantastic :O)

Temple of the Dog was founded in 1990 with Cornell and Vedder. They put out one cd. The Band also included Stone Gossard and Jeff Ament on guitar and bass. They were both from Mother Love Bone. Temple of the Dog also included Mike McCready of PJ, and Matt Cameron of both Soundgarden and PJ.
