hi ginkage84, I checked out the modaco link you provided and downloaded the OpenGlesv1.cab and installed and ran it in my samsung omnia pro b7610. But nothing happened, my carousel still won't give me the 3d effect like you've shown here. Won't it work on my phone or do i have to do some more tweaking?

But on my Omnia II Spb 3.5.3 3D carousel sucks.Even on high performance selected.(I think it is a driver problem)

Partially. Spb MS 3.5.3 uses a bit under-optimized GL2 shaders (to say the least), athough I hope that in a future MS release it will be faster.

I'm developing an OpenGL driver for it. Still work in progress, this video shows what it was like two weeks ago. Now it is a bit better, but still imperfect. When I'll have some stable and more or less compatible version, I'll share it, of course.

Hey there! I always install SPB on my WinMo phones, what exactly about it doesnt work with the Omnia 2? Us folks over here in the states are still awaiting the Omnia 2's release, and I was planning on getting one. However if it has problems with SPB, I'm not so sure anymore! Care to walk me through it? :) Thanks~

There's no problems as such. It's just that the hardware 3D acceleration is not supported by the Shell, so it renders carousel in software, that's all.

Personally I just love the Shell on my Omnia, everything works just fine.

Impossible: i900 doesn't have any 3D hardware acceleration.

You are a god. I assume the processor in the Omnia i910 is too slow to run the 3D acceleration? I've got 3.5 installed on my Omnia, but I'd love to be seeing the 3D Carousel (which, as you know, doesn't work without an accelerator).

Ok you win! I have Omnia II as well but I have no idea how to make the 3D-effects work. Please teach us. (If possible please work on the G-Sensor compatibility issue so we can play with HTC G-Sensor applications!)

It's still imperfect, carousel looks a bit wrong (notice the white strip at the bottom, it should be black; and, at the carousel start, current screen should move back to get in place at carousel; and, there's no reflections for the panels at the back).

The main issue, though, is that tapping on a panel doesn't activate it.

So, for now it's just a teaser, but I'll keep trying to make it all work as it should.
