@nobodysperfect06 Without Al Davis, the NFL wouldn't be where it is today. Why do we love Al Davis? Because he loved us and have 3 superbowls to show for it. The Raiders are one of the storied franchises in the NFL. AL is the Oakland Raiders and no other team has as passionate fans as the Raider Nation.
@darthcruzsith yeah there is no wrong in that, but still, once the raiders lost that super bowl to the buccs, they have not been to the playoffs in 9 straight years, and during that 9 year post-season drought, they went 7 straight seasons losing 11 or more games, obviously something was not right
@nobodysperfect06 If you are only seeing what Al Davis has done in the past 10 years then your facts and opinions about the guy are very shallow. you have to look beyond that and all the good teams have had their dark days and I believe the Raiders dark days are gonna come to an end. I don't know what team you go for but im thinking it might be a division rival if you were watching this video.
@darthcruzsith what i'm saying is that Al Davis was a great own in his prime but later on, age took it's toll on him, and he never bothered to hire a general manager to make football related decisions, overall, the past is the past, plus, too many raider fans are not old enough to remember or were not born yet the last time the raiders won a super bowl, since the raiders moved back to oakland in 1995, they have made the playoffs only 3 times
@nobodysperfect06 Because he wanted to be involved in every decision that was made in the organization football and business wise. It was his way of doing things and i don't know why people have a problem with it. He was old school and like to do things his way and knew how scout talent. he was the only owner that knew the game of football. I am well aware that they have only made the playoffs 3 times and i was at every single one of them.
@darthcruzsith and 7 straight-seasons losing 11 or more games is an NFL record for Futility, what i find more shocking, embarassing, sad for the Raiders is that they have not even sniffed the playoffs since 2002 which was the last time they made the Super Bowl, eventhough they lost that Super Bowl, still, in Sports, you have to be pretty damn good to even just reach the Championship game, it's like the Raiders went from winners to losers in just one season, from riches to rags instantly
@darthcruzsith like let's say if they had just only made the first round of the playoffs in 2002 and having not reach the playoffs since then, yes that would be devastating but not nearly as much as losing a championship game, it's like as if the raiders have still not recovered from that super bowl loss to gruden and the buccaneers, as if that super bowl loss created a curse for them, well obviously not since that is just a lame excuse but it feels like it, overall, something has not been right
Deion Sanders was suppose to sign with the Raiders and come out of retirement earlier in the year but the Chargers had dips on him of some reason and he refused to play for them. Can you imagine if we had Deion Sanders in that SB
Where's Al Davis? Shouldn't he be down there to accept the trophy right next to Callahan? I guess it shows how old frail, and pathetic he has become. Great owner and special part of the AFL and the NFL for over 50 years but seriously either sell the team or make a GM/ team president do day to day operations. To think, this was 10 years ago too probably worse now.
@raiders247online not without nnamdi.i'm still crossin my fingers.who knows my friend andything can happen.maybe mcfadden will lead the league in all purpose yards or they lead the league in sacks.man i miss 00 01 and 02
I wish what Simms said at :19 was true. Tampa knew EVERYTHING we had on offense. Even still...the adjustments came way too late. The seam was open all game and we didn't start doing it until down 34-3
Why are They using The NFL Today theme instead of the NFL on CBS theme?

i think they would have had a better chance if the Superbowl was 2 weeks after the conference championship like it is now
McClainTrain55 8 months ago
@McClainTrain55 And they could have had a way better chance if Al Davis did not get rid of Jon Gruden in the off season that year.
