good luck with the interpreting! i hope it works for you. i have a few sugestions for once you are interpreter....1)remember the student-teacher-interpreter triangle... it is VERY important and 2) dont always think the deaf student/person is talking about you behind your back. (both of these i have problems with :) )
I'm sure I'll learn it in school, but what exactly is the student-teacher-interpreter triange? And as for worring about somebody talking about me behind my back, I honestly don't care. Growing up I learned to deal with it. My hope is that the only talk behind my back is all good comments. You know, like how awesome I was at interpreting for them. I really want to be a good interpreter and not a crappy one. lol.
ok the student-teacher-interpreter triangle is just how the teacher and interpreter stand in comparison to the student, so the teacher shouldnt be on one side and the interpreter on the other, it makes it easyer for the student to read the lips or look at the what the teacher is pointing to and what they are doing. Well, as long as you just remember that they dont dislike you (this is normaly) until you start digging into their lives with their friends and such
