Made from a Caravan axle? That doesn't make me feel real safe, if your going to use donor parts from a scrapyard I would think you would use part from a more substantial vehicle, like a 3/4 ton truck.

i built a tow dolly ... nothing but bad experiences with it ripped the tounge off once wheel almost rolled off once droped a truck off once when strap broke gonna say unless u get one with the shock and turning pivot point theyre a disaster waiting to happen but its a pain in the ass hauling a car without something oh i dream of a nice wide 18ft car trailer sigh

For rear wheel drive vehicles, the propeller shaft needs to be disconnected from the differential to prevent transmission damage. And for FWD, the driven wheels are on the dolly.

unless of course, you put the rear wheels on the dolly, and use the front locking hubs (assuming 4x4) in unlocked mode....thats how I do it...
