Streaming audio and video. Are both supported and if so, how's playback? LMI has great functionality but can't provide these two features at a high level. Show me a smooth RDP, user-friendly UI, AND full multimedia features and I will show you the money. This is robbery considering that Teamviewer offers the same features for free. You can get the best of both worlds with TV and Splashtop. If LMI could, I would, but it can't, so I'll spend my 30 on VitaCoCo. May the force be with you.

What i dont understand is that these people that buy the logmein app, always seems to go the web, web? the ipad can go to the internet without the logme in. i want to see videos playing, programs running not the freaking web.

The best way to go about this would be to run the cursor communication by bluetooth to the PC whilst receiving monitor video through wifi. This will ensure a quicker more accurate interaction. Might also speed up performance of app, more frames per second is what i mean ;)

OMG I've done some research and this type of technology could be the future of handheld gaming. Imagine if you could do the same with a PS3 instead of a computer and play games on a portable device instead of an ipad. You could really have heavy gaming in a portable device. They just need a way to stream the sound and video in a more efficient way so you could use a 4G signal and it would become the way of the future.

@TechTechManTV no I just mean playing your PS3 games on your PSP using this type of online access technology. Obviously this isn't possible atm since Sony would have to give the PS3 a HUGE update to enable it for that type of use and give it a 24/7 wake feature so it can know when to do a "Portable Connect" plus they would need to make a new PSP with all the buttons needed for this and even then you'll just be able to play the games on ur harddisk since you cant change disks while ur outside.

Well you couldn't. Remote desktops, like this one, use the original computer's CPU and virtual memory. However, games require hardware acceleration through a separate graphics processor. The iPad has an extremely weak graphics card and since the games rely so heavily on them to run, it just wouldn't work. However, there is a new tablet being released (forget name) that has a nice GeForce graphics card in it.

Good review, but u don't mention if you can play games. Guess that is because u can't play games on macs. Anyways, the purpose of the app is for network analysts or computer techncicians to be able to easily access computers. U shoul mentionthat.

PS this exactly how I did an april fools joke on my girlfriend while i was out of town. Just let the computer on, cranked a loud song at 8 am, and used photo booth to see how pissed off she was..
