the BMW Performance exhaust comes with the muffler and mid pipes.

that is enough to give you a great sound from the outside.

If you want more sound from you cabin, an intake is suggested. BMW has

a Performance Intake.

it's replaced with their mid pipes.

if u wanted it louder u can remove the 2ndary cats too.

That is a sexy sound. One question though: what's causing the grinding noise when the revs fall back to idle? You can hear it in other videos of this particular exhaust, too, so I wonder if it's part of the exhaust design. For me personally, it would be a dealbreaker if I could hear my exhaust grinding every time I dropped to idle.

that sucking sound is the best, and the pops too.

this "grinding noise" that u describe is distinctive of

this exhaust. I'm enjoying the gains and the nice note of this exhaust everyday, with all it's distinct characteristics.

It's one thing to hear a clip on the web and another to hear in person and another to drive in one.

if this is deal breaker than it's by personal choice.

Thanks for the quick reply. I do love the sucking sound you described; it sounds almost like a blowoff valve, actually. The grinding sound I'm referring to is the one you can hear from 0:34 seconds onward, from the close camera angle. It may sound different in person than on the camera. In any case, I am very tempted by the BMW Performance intake and exhaust. I've read they make an excellent combo.

That's rediculous, sounds way too crazy for something from the dealership. I've got an exhaust and it still doesn't sound like that, even after i took out the resonator.

this exhaust came from a BMW dealership.

and btw, the bmw performance exhaust already

deletes the resonator. IMHO bmw should of

outfitted this exhaust on the Sport models of their 3 series.
