  • Best soundtrack for the best future movie.........

  • ohh, sean young,my dicks up even at the thought, man she was a fox, she`s a milf now but i`de still go there oh ye ha!

  • Give me my headphones... and my hammock 3^)

  • One of my all time fav movies and soundtracks....with Sean Young before she was crazy and drunk and ugly! thanks for the memories.

  • @Apockiller She's not ugly ... my God ... please

  • @Apockiller your joking maybe she should have been cloned just as she was in real life.....!

  • @kew4612 id buy a clone of her anyday!!

  • Piękne.

  • Oh, man, this is so good.

    Man.

  • best movie, best soundtrack ... best main actor ... I can die now.

  • Such moving music.......and yes........an excellent movie.

  • Does it kind of seem like Harrison Ford rapes that chick in this film, did anyone else think that.

  • @XboxDCG She's only had a few years to store up the emotional experiences that you and I take for granted ... So, she was experiencing the feelings and sensations of a woman's body through the mind of a young girl...So, he was, and I'm speculating here...just being a bit dramatic but trying to firmly have her submit to being seduced...remember she said, "I can't rely on ... " I would imagine she was going to say "these feelings" or "these emotions" ... anyone else care to comment ?

  • 41 people couldn't outrun the blade.

  • @MyceliaProductions42 the movie is 30 years old but the novel Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? dated from 1968. it's a look into the future from 1968! to me it' makes it more frightening ! Because every thing which is described in the book happenned or is about to. Philip K Dick was a visionnary. He died before the movie was released!,

  • and she's smoking french cigarette:" Boyard maïs"!!

  • This amazing, portent of a movie is more than just a cool look at a future of 40-year (by 1982 standards). It's a warning of what may have happened, and what can STILL happen (don't fool yourselves) if we slip too much. Imagine...all that we have gained for so many millennia...lost...because of the horrific ineptitude of a certain minority to see such wonderment, such accomplishments of a bizarre form of evolved-ape...utterly laid to waste for no real reason other than avarice. Imagine better.

  • Just recorded it on my keyboard, with a different background, using his signature "Blade Runner dark pad" instead of the "bleeps". (Memories Of Green was composed 2 years before Blade Runner.) Just click on my avatar to check it out in my channel. Thanks!

  • THis music is wonderful. I love the film sequences with Rachel in them. She wanted to be human. I loved it..

  • very dreamy... I'm ridin' in the clouds on a musical note now...

  • Rachel was the lady that opened my eyes to a different moment in my life, what an incredible timeless movie, with timeless music, that just works, Thank you Vangelis, and thank you again Ridley Scott, Harrison, Sean, Daryl.

  • I just can say that this is how the universe sounds, we know it's made by music, it's perfect, 40 people don't have any idea about that sound LOL

  • Blade Runner is one of the small number of films that other films are judged against. A true masterpiece.

  • one of my all time fave bits of cinema music, love it!

  • also recommend this song: ylExc6CdLlU

it has a downturn at 2:52 that is too much!

From the soundtrack of Grave of the Fireflies

  • what is happening from about 1:16 to1:30 and 1:32 to 1:43 etc.?

it is amazing and the pullout at about 2:07-2:09 is too.

    any music theory people?

  • The character Rachel was so very lady-like ....Such a well written and thoughtful movie (sigh) they just dont make em like this anymore .

  • Prachtige muziek, en ze valt niet door de mand. Alleen Rutgertje gaat wijlen!

  • J've seen this movie so many times...it's a master piece...makes you thinking abuot...life...beloved people...Lost in time like tears in the rain...so many questions...Timeless...:)

  • they should film a remake

  • exelent quality

  • is it too bold for man to reach for the stars

  • dont like this version, too much noises from the movie

  • Fiction is becoming reality in 2012.

  • I'm going to watch the VHS version on my huge Projection TV again...because you amazingly tender and evolved Souls have inspired me to see it again ... the graininess and the softness of the old Projection TV makes me feel fuzzy and warm all over ... :-) ... Tell a STRANGER about Bladerunner ...

  • Applause!!!

  • Dude. I listen to this song? It fucks me up. I can't play games properly after it.

  • Perfect!!!

  • Algonquin Provincial Park Cache Lake August 2008 Water Colour Paint Kit is a video I created using this sound track in dedication to Rachel and the photograph of her mother. When you watch the shot in the movie the background in the picture has shadows moving...totally blew me away....technically perfect Movie and Vangelis adds to the perfection...really the only composer who could accomplish such a work of art.

  • all I can say is .........+1

  • FANTASTIC MUSIC BY VANGELIS AND WONDERFUL MOVIE

    HAPPY 2012

  • Slow, calm music for contemplating beingness. A beautiful and haunting detraction from nihilism and the film's dystopia.

  • quite an experience to live in fear, isn't it

i have to stop myself watching this film so it doesnt wear out on me, i could happilly watch it every couple of weeks though :( this song is so evocative

  • is it just me or does sean young look very like katy perry?

  • 3:52 the best part for me

  • the best scince fiction movie ever made

  • @kumatosky Oooooo.... that's a tough claim to make... I mean... 2001? Starwars (IV)? CE3K? Spaceballs?

There's a Lot of competition for that title ;)

  • A NEW blade runner!!! Hoe hum.... I have two DVD box sets I got last year. One is the full set of Blade Runner the other the complete Prisoner series from the 60's. Now they made a new Prisoner series and I should think a 'New' Blade Runner will be just about as successful. It’s not just the music, it’s the Direction. Some films are just such a statement a new one just can’t match it. Good luck to the makers, but this one’s a classic.

  • PROOF that smoking cigarettes is deadly!

  • @bushsuxcheney - how the fuck is it, no-one in this film dies of smoking. it's not tobacco that's dodgy it's the 200+ toxins that get added to it, and the chemicals it is grown with. stop ruining this amazing music. k.y.

  • It's too bad she won't live! But then again, who does?

  • To think, this movie almost didn't make it! Lack of funding & over budget. The beginning of the movie, we fly through exploding plumes of gas, pumped high above the city, and then to the rain socked city streets, accompanied by the hunting music of "Vangelis" When i first saw this movie on the big screen, the cinematography was ammazing and the sound track, BRILLIANT. Eaven with the new CGI or even the new tech, CGI3D can never top this movie. this movie was in real time, ON REAL SETS!!

  • I don't know what to say.. it's..wow.. Is there another word for beautiful? I believe beauty is not enough to describe this video.

  • @healingblues Nirvana? Zen? Bliss maybe?

  • When i listen it i think about beutiful moments of my life and about my future. This song makes me restful and calm.

  • Best soundtrack ever?

  • @braintentacle Is there even a "second best? For me this one stands alone

  • Sublime.....the only worthy word I could think of.

  • @KosmikGirl05 How about.....aching?.....Longing?

  • Absolutely...Besides, who is more human? The mindless terminator, who is legally human or the man made androids who are more capable of mercy and empathy than the original?

  • All the soundtrack of this movie makes me feel really sad! Vangelis is a genious!

  • the piano riff reminds me of blue eyes by elton john

  • @zircle1 indeed, you have a sharp musical ear. i appreciate very much this sort of revelations, cos i have my own ones, time to time......

  • @zircle1 Agreed - and Blue Eyes and Blade Runner were both released in 1982.

    Coincidence? Probably.

  • Craig Armstong ist..??

  • This movie was my #1 until Inception came out...but it holds a sold #2....there will never be another movie like Bladerunner....

    and this song is amazing!!!!!!!!!

  • Art is interpretation but wats going on? :D

  • Agree with this post......very rare that a soundtrack complements a movie as stunningly as this.

  • ulubiony film,muzyka genialna!!

  • Nice touch at the very end there with Pegasus from Clash of the Titans.

  • Beatiful,beatiful Sean Young.

    Sublime music

  • While listening to this song I have to pause and reflect. Who am I and where am I going? Will my existence be "lost in time like tears in the rain?" It's oddly comforting to know that years after i'm gone, people will still be pondering these same questions. This film is timeless.

  • This is the beginning and the end of cyberpunk stuff, i´m with you bro.

  • @rayray66 This music makes me think so then it makes me dream ....

  • @ripley969 very melancholy tune... yes. dreamy indeed!....

    Zzzz.... {-)

  • @rayray66 possibly , maybe Jesus will silence these rumors of the 21st century, I love this sound track, i love the flim, didnt read the book lol, i heard a new blade runner is in production..

  • Come on ... let's religion out of this PLEASE?

  • @rayray66 get a job

  • @rayray66 This film is a projection of your mind, don't you think that is worth consideration ?????

  • When I was young, this movie made me fall in love with Sean Young.

  • @barbarian981 , I fell in love with the chinese guy who designed rutger howers eyes.

  • @TheGrowdaddy, yes, the Chinese man to whom Roy said one of the most memorable lines in the history of cinema, one that makes me want to stand up and applaud when I listen to it:

"If only you could see what I have seen with your eyes!"

  • Amen Brotha ... I'm still in Love with Sean Young ...

  • Vángelis -la música-, el director de la película (RIDLEY SOCOTT) la PELÍCULA..-de culto- y este escena...GRANDIOSA.

  • know what you mean paxtv999,running around baghdad-mad world isn't it.

  • maravillosa toda y todos...

  • oooooooooh yes... how is it good that this hyper sensitive is backing to me from time to time, ye memories

  • Brings tears to my eyes. I remember walking around like a ghost in the Shibuya alleyways, underneath the glowing eyes of skyscrapers.

  • @TwinVulcan ... beautiful words TwinVulcan ... I can visualize myself there with you ... everytime I hear Bladerunner I am reminded of so many friends that I grew up with in Los Angeles/Hollywood and how long ago it was and that a lot of them are gone now ... there's just a certain feeling I get when I see Bladerunner ... and that magic, haunting Vangelis music ... makes me cry everytime ... without fail, everytime

  • @PAXTV999 Nice story bro

  • Blade Runner é simplesmente inesquecível. Um primor do cinema moderno.

Blade Runner is simply unforgetable. A perfect modern film.

  • this soundtrack is so beautiful... makes me tear up every time I listen

  • Sean Young was 10!

  • sweet

  • this is just achingly beautiful

  • I watch Blade Runner only once a year so it doesn't get worn out. Directors cut FTW!

  • @flatl1n3 I think you're right. I've watched it 4 times in, like, the last 6 days...and something tells me to cool it, or the magic will get burned out. Unbelievable movie though.

  • You could watch Bladerunner a hundred times and trust me, you will still see new things for years to come! As you watch, listen to voice inflections in harmony with the music~like when Pris says, "I'm hungry J.F." he says, "I got some stuff inside, you wanna' come in?" She smiles, "I was hoping you'd say that" innocently he turns to insert his house key into the lock and her face turns dastardly and the music spews out a lone french horn ... mimic to a howling cat ... way cool

  • @PAXTV999 That's why it's such an amazing film, you see different things in it each time, the music really makes this movie imo, so atmospheric!

  • @flatl1n3 Same here. I do it every Xmas.

  • @flatl1n3 ONLY ONCE A YEAR????

  • Es increible la sensibilidad de Vangelis cuando nos describe, con esta sutileza, los recuerdos de una hermosísima androide. Simplemente, no puedes creer que ella no se a humana ( y de hecho no lo es).

  • I still have the handheld 'Space Invaders' game that you can hear in the background!

  • what a great movie, nothing these days even with the technology and special effects can reach the armony between the music and the storie of these film...and rachel is an artificial angel.

  • no sabría definirlo muy bien pero es como un orgasmo infinito con Rachel

  • what seems to be the problem?

    Death.

  • kids learn to read n stuff).

  • I might have to investigate this "the Young and the Reckless," to see what Sean Youngs doing these days

  • @28Zeppelin - SEAN YOUNG IS CONSIDERED "PAST HER PRIME" AND "IRRELEVANT" IN HOLLYWOOD THESE DAYS. I SAW HER SAY THESE VERY THINGS IN AN INTERVIEW ON TV JUST LAST WEEK. THOUGHT U MIGHT WANNA KNOW.

  • @MrRoxxstar who gives a shit? She has timeless beauty ... amazing ... gorgeous ... I would drop everything and marry her right his moment ... without hesitation ...

  • True that it will never be re-created, they just don't make movies this good any more, although sacrilage dictates that they will try. .

  • Awww... now I want to watch it!!! But my dvd player won't play!!!

  • @AlterDimensions Ah yeah... but it's on my dvr. :) In widescreen!

    Widescreen FTW.

  • Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?...The movie, the music, the final monologue came after...the book was the seed...Philip K. Dick was a genious...By the way I frigging love the movie and adore the music...this work of art stimulates the mind, the senses and the soul...

  • it is the key change that gets me every time

  • she was an android told she had a past with family ties and needs to remain sophisticated and needed -she was not prepared for being treated with sincere need to be loved from the Blade Runner - like tears in the rain -

  • Genius!

  • Haunting and sad but beautiful....one of my favorite combinations!

  • Eventual422, thank you !

  • sometimes there's a film.. a film.. um well you know what I mean - sometimes there is a film

  • She was soo beautiful...who knew that she'll go nuts...but oh boy was she sweet looking woman...

  • Was 2:00 in Cowboy Bebop? Really sounds familiar for some reason

  • When you have a day off work set this as your wake up alarm. It’s a cool way to start the day. :-)

  • 2016 is a little more than 4 years away. Are the replicants among us? This question has been replicated.

  • @sixfourallstar One was President from 2000-2008. Didn't you notice? That explains a lot....

  • This answers all questions, and yet ...

  • one of the greatest soundtracks ever made...

    Vangelis is a pure genius..

  • @EnjoyTheSurface

    thats true

  • its too bad she wont live........ but then again who does?....

  • HATED rachel in the book. Loved her in this.

  • I cant decide if its the film that makes the music or the music that makes the film..... Close your eyes and its Stunning... close your ears and its stunning.... a work of art from both Vangelis and Ridley and something that will never be re-recreated

  • @analogig good question...it's both I believe. I can't image the film without it...good point!

  • @analogig i could not have put that better myself. a stunning work of visual and audio art. the first time i saw this film was in a club, couldnt hear the sound it was purely visual, that was in 1984, i have been hooked into this movie ever since. for many years the soundtrack was caught up in some controversy and unavailable, i am pleased to say i have it now.

  • @analogig amazing comment. This movie truly is a visual and musical drug.

  • @analogig

The funny thing is that they all felt the movie was a failure, and so did the public and critics. Lo and behold, it's recognized as the best Sci-Fi movie of all time.

  • @aeopmusic Yep. That is because it made you think about life, and the future- in general.

  • @analogig Definitely! By far one of the best films out there.

  • @analogig - I know what you mean....the soundtrack is amazing....but the movie is too...I think they form a perfect symbiotic relationship....without the other, they would be nothing....

    I love this movie!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Lve that woman...sl cute, so perfect, like an androide.

  • aaaaa esta peliculaaa para mi es la mejorr de toda la ciencia ficciónn

  • My favourite film, its wonderful

  • Ha. Had Youtube advert 'find singles in your area," but this video is like find replicants in your area. It's the future man!

  • Yes, a sequel is bad, but it is the lesser of two evils.

  • @esteetabernac

How about nothing? Sounds logical to me.

  • both the movie and the music vangelis made is so good its unreal almost like heaven

  • Please. No remake! Sequel, okay I can accept that. But remake. NEVER.

  • @esteetabernac Sequel is also not acceptable ! :)

  • @esteetabernac untouchable, any sequel or remake is dead before birth

  • I used to have the same hand held video game that they are using as the beeps in the background of this music.

  • Eventual422, thank you, best ambient when thinking of the dearest girl in our lives...

  • One of my favorite movies.

  • bellísimo

  • In the book she is a total bitch and the movie makes her a angel, but that cool. Saw this in 6th grade and it blew my mind.

  • The best end I've ever seen!

  • there's something about the way she says 'very' at the start...

  • @Autonova Hell yeah!

  • the final tally is explicit - pkd

  • Great sucksess

  • All those moments will be lost. . . in time

    Like. . . tears. . .in rain

    What an awesome cinematic moment?!

  • Great! Amazing Music, Nostalgico, from Blade Runner...

  • Beautiful haunting music.

  • Quite sad when Rutger Hauer's character dies at the end and you realise he wasn't all that evil . He just wanted to live a bit longer and have more of a life - a better quality of life: quite a human quality really. We all want to leave our mark on the world when we go.

  • @28Zeppelin The character killed alot of persons just to try.. So he was actually evil.

  • @28Zeppelin

He was evil. He killed Sebastian among others for no reason at all.

  • @BarrySlisk I don´t think so. He had a very powerfull reason: he was searching answers about his origins, his friends, and his live. I have a question for you: ¿How many people woud kill for saving their lives?

  • @EdAG62

By asking me that you are only asking if I am evil. No I am not going to kill innocent people. I would kill street punks without blinking, but not innocent people.

Besides, killing Sebastian did not get him closer to his goal, so he killed him for no reason at all. He was evil !

  • Great music video!

  • Vangelis= REAL music unlike the GARBAGE of today

Tranqvillia= The new hope for Music

  • vangelis an incredible composer
