I assume you are talking about top speed, in which case F1 cars currently reach approximately 340km/h (Monza) and V8SC's currently reach approximately 300km/h (Bathurst). The fastest speed reached by a Formula one car which complied with FIA regulations was 413km/h (BAR Honda, especially prepared for a record attempt) no V8SC would go near that due to power versus drag.

If you are going to talk about the fastest of each in the world, then yes, it would probably be the F1. But lets not forget, they aren't even NEARLY some of the fastest cars in the world.

Incidentally, the F1's used to pull 360km/h at Monza with the V10's, they've slowed by 20 clicks with the intro of the 2.4L V8's.

On the V8SC's, I used to work for Holden and in my position I had the opportunity on several occasions to have "hot laps" with Mark Skaife, Greg Murphy, Thomas Mezera and Nathan Pretty in various team's Supercars and they felt plenty fast! Murph was the only one that scared the living shit out of me though......in a good way :)
