  • Politics aside, very beautiful. Thank you for capturing the moment that we all could not be at!!

  • What's restoring honor about?

  • It is amazing how this incredible Hymn is so universally known and how it grabs the listener, whether the listeners are in a small church, coffeehouse, nightclub or even on the National Mall!!! God Bless America!!! Wish I could have been there!

  • @JaymoeSays, why don't you see if you can find a post of the entire video and watch it, and educate yourself a little. After watching it, then tell me if you still think it's political. Not one politician's name or policy was uttered by anyone the entire time. The rally was about honoring ourselves, our families, our military, and God. You can try as much as you like, but you cannot demonize this rally or the people that attended it. Get a life, please!

  • @dspenard um, yes. It was about conservative values, that was what I was pointing out. And I believe Sarah Palin was introduced to speak, was she not?

She is a politician and her name was uttered a few times so you are over-looking the plain facts. This was an anti-obama rally

promoted by an anti-obama pundit (Glenn Beck) who was made famous by an anti-obama network (Fox) which makes it entirely political whether you are willing to admit it or not.

  • @JaymoeSays You are missing my point. How can I be more clear? Sarah Palin is a "former" politician. There was not one person who spoke at the rally that is a current politician and not one thing was uttered about any politician or a policy.

But if you are saying that having honor, integrity, faith, hope, charity, and personal responsibility are beliefs and values counter to what Obama believes, then Yes, it was an anti-Obama rally.

  • @JaymoeSays so, conservative's are the only ones who praise God & support our troops? Because that was what this rally was about, praising the Lord & supporting our troops.

If you attended the rally, or even watched it, you would know this. You would also know that, yes, Sarah Palin did speak. She was asked to speak because she has a son who serves in the military.

Maybe you should educate yourself on what happened at the rally before you judge it, which clearly you did not do.

  • @JaymoeSays No it was not an Anti Obama rally. The people who showed up with I love Obama t-shirts on were welcomed by by the crowd. But you will never see that will you? I personaly wellcomed 2 people who say they love Obama to the rally. I do not support the PINO but everyone has the right to support who they choose.

  • @dspenard thanks for posting this, just like accidentpronebuddys said, I was very close to where you were, my nephew and I drove close to a 1000 miles to attend this, we picked up my brother and a very close friend. it was an amazing day for us

  • Rocking the pipes, got to love them, Scotland Rocks !

nice vid though, you been here yet?

  • Wow. What an amazing moment. As a proud American...and the singer in this video...I am so honored to have been a part of this special day in history.

  • My wife and I were there. We praised God, Family and country with more then half a million of our brothers and sisters! Anyone saying this is anything but a revival of personal honor and renewed love for God is just wrong. Nov. we will make a wrong, right, but it has to start in the heart of each person.

Honor begins with the individual and to get right with God. Come Nov. we will make a wrong, right. This rally's message: restoring honor starts with us and getting right with God a must.

  • Liberals = Pagans = Ignorant = Pitiful = Support

  • Thank you for the video! I was there and was standing behind a tree for a good part of this!

  • The country changed on Sunday for My Daughter, wife, father nephew stepsister and I when we stood there and watched those geese glide past in such a moment as cannot be described. As much as I loved who was on stage that day. I was filled with the most sense of peace and joy by the half million friends I shared the day with.

  • Our band Montgomery County Firefighters Pipes and Drums, was honored to join Glenn Beck for the Restoring Honor Rally. It was an awesome and humbling experience for us!

  • If this is what it will look like at the throne of God I can't wait!!!

  • I was standing on the other side of the Reflecting Pool. I was glad my wife motivated me to go. It was a very moving experience. Thanks for the video.

  • The Montgomery County Firefighters Pipes and Drums were honored to be a part of this amazing moment in history and thank everyone for attending and showing their support for America and its heroes!

  • listen to the version of andré rieu of amazing grace ,wonderfull

  • I think it is interesting that this video is disabled by youtube. I have been trying to view it for a long time with no success, but all the other videos work. Coincidence? I think not.

  • Thank you for posting this. What a beautiful moment in a day full of them. I feel we stood there for so many who wished to attend but couldn't. There were so many poignant moments, but singing Amazing Grace at the end really tore me up (it always does, especially with the bagpipes), but singing it with half a million other will be a memory I will never forget. Don't let the liberals who can't understand the significance of this get to you. We will save the country in spite of them.

  • Everyone can say want they want, any polotician can do want thay want want. But ya want to know something,we are the majority. We will just keep getting larger and stronger, for we are the American Patriots,no party! But it was great to be there yesterday! God Bless America!

  • Is there a video of the full rally?

  • @Zelrio28 You can see is at the cspan website. But it's their camera angles, which is not as good as what was on Glenn's facebook page when it was live. Hopefully someone will put out that video soon.

  • Thank you so much for posting this video. We were there and were deeply moved by this, and were hoping that someone would post it.

  • I appreciate all the genuine, thoughtful comments from everyone. I posted my video because I knew it would move many others as much as it moved me. Anyone who missed the event really missed out on something truly historic. This country will heal itself after being demonized and divided since the great divider took office last year. I wish all the moronic, biased, uninformed numskulls would keep their hateful comments to themselves. This rally was not political, so give it a rest please.

  • @dspenard Your video is the best! You weren't far from where I was standing with my family, so you captured the moment for me. Thank you. One of the most moving experiences of my life.

  • These are the good white people who still believe in America. Little did they realize that leftist Jews from New York and Hollywood would usher in socialism under the guise of multiculturalism in their lifetimes.

Read "The Culture of Critique" by Kevin MacDonald.

  • Amazing, moving, humbling event. I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

For: Garland Mason & son-CPL Chris Mason KIA

  • @tim23z Yep you must have seen me....well the fat, white part anyway.

  • @tim23z I am an American. If you NEED to know my color it is white. You want to know my family tree - white, black, Indian, French and Irish. That is only the last couple of generations. I do have a Mammy - she is white.

Join us 9/11/10 and see for yourself.

    God Bless you.

  • Agreed, Tim. If we had a president that would do that then no doubt God would listen and be with us. If only we did or will have one.

  • "Amazing that the only bigots showing their true colors are the intolerant members of the left. Thanks Tim23z, for reminding us once again that absolute power corrupts absolutely.

  • Giving Glory to God...whats more honorable than this!

  • The Almighty gave us liberty. By honoring it, we are turning to him. Liberty and freedom, no socialism.

  • Let me ask you, if a conservative white person would refer to the other side of the political aisle or a different race with equally disparagin language, what would happen?

Many photographs were taken of all sorts of follks and nobody looked angry to me. It appears once again, an irrational liberal is trying to create his own facts.

  • @snorp73 Right! They werent angry, they were honerable, loyal Patriots who acted with class and dignity...the screaming and screaching was happing down the road a piece. A measly 5000 (Paid to fly in) were listening to the rants of Sharpton and the NAACP. I'll take the Conservatibes and Beck...ANYDAY!

  • tim23z it is a shame you show your bigotry while decrying everyone else. I see hundreds of thousands of people standing and singing along with to a black singer, gathered to celebrate the love and tolerance preached by a man of color 47 years ago. Hundreds of thousands of people came together with love and unity to hope for a better future for our county. What a pity you are so blinded by hate you cannot see that.

  • @momtofourmonkeys Not to mention the awards given for Faith Hope and Charity - how many of the award winners were black? As if it matters, but some people look at the color of another's skin, and not their character. What a shame.

  • It was an awesome event! It was great to see that everyone cleaned up and didn't leave trash all over the place like happened at the Obama inauguration.

  • Absolutely incredible spiritual moment.

"God - Thank you for being with us on this beautiful day. Thank you for restoring our faith in each other. Hearing your name praised in the voices of those that we surround ourselves with. May we praise your name together as a nation. Amen."

  • "man not a single black person in the crowd, go figure look at all the white christian folk.."

@GuBB3rGun: Gee, I wonder how many whites, hispanics, and asians were marching with Al Sharpton?

  • Amazing Grace was written by John Newton. He was a slave trader, converted to abolitionist in 1772. So why would such a song be featured at a "Restoring Honor" rally? Think, people, think.

  • @vechorik

Yeah, everyone was a slave trader according to those on the left that they dislike. Anyone who was religious or have otherwise different beliefs than them. It's getting old, vechorik.

  • I like this and bagpipes is just that much more Americans honoring our country is sweet music to my ears hook

  • man not a single black person in the crowd, go figure look at all the white christian folk..

  • a wake up call for dead-beat politicians.

  • A whole crowd of good Americans that has the Liberals/Progressives wetting their pants. Sarah Palin has them so fearful, they go out of their way to attack an innocent Downs syndrome child of hers to show how tough they are. If that doesn't tell you who the Liberals/Progressives are and what they stand for, nothng will. When you Libs cannot win in the arena of ideas, you have to lie, cheat, and steal to get your way. America has had enough and this rally shows it.

  • Close to 100K were watching via FB, according to what I saw on my computer screen (I was also watching on C-Span). I am convinced that if it were feasible for more people, they would have been there. Their numbers are probably well into the 6 digits.

  • These many people of all colors, ages, sexual orientations, faiths, etc. coming together and standing for liberty convinces me that better days are ahead for our nation.

  • @snorp73 rofl the only people of other ethnicity were on stage. Wonder why that is.

  • That's not true. There were all kinds of people in the crowds just like they are at the Tea Parties. Moreover; if you really want to know why those people were on stage, I'd suggest you ask them since their part of a group apparently that you have manifested in your mind that belongs segregated and labeled.

Liberals always show their racism in trying to charge others with it. You just proved it.

  • @GuBB3rGuN Really? I saw many in the crowd, didn't you? Oh, wait, you didn't attend did you?

  • Our band was honored to join Glenn Beck in honoring the Wounded Warriors. It was an amazing and humbling day for us!

  • @MCFFPipesAndDrums You guys were amazing.

  • Sure looks like a lot of' people for the "few thousand" the mainstream media repoted were there.

  • God bless America! The man who wrote Amazing Grace was the owner of a slave ship. One day he was afraid he was going to sink and prayed to be forgiven, the ship was saved. Glenn talked about the terrible scars this country had and that we must turn to God.

  • I at least got to watch this LIVE on tv while on my lunch break
