Their appearance didn't help anything, but they were just there to watch a gig like everyone else, this got blew way out of proportion, still amusing though :)

When I first went to see Morrissey I was suprised how chaotic majority of fans were, and it's the same every time, but it adds to the atmosphere there and Morrissey doesnt just put a show on, you can tell how much he loves his fans & continous support

I can't believe the reaction they got. The guys were there as fans themselves, and didn't have to get up like that. They weren't DRAGGED on stage by crew or anything, they got up there to try and explain to fellow fans as to why their hero had been taken ill, and were booed off. It wasn't their fault. I understand that the fans were upset, but you cannot take it out on Russell, David or Jonathan. I feel sorry for the three of them, no matter how much I dislike Walliams, they didn't deserve that!

We saw the Wednesday night gig at the Roundhouse, and Morrisey was already worried about his voice then, asking the crowd 'do you think I'm going to make it through the night', so it is genuine, however disappointing it was for the people on Friday.

Russell Brand is a funny guy, a lot funnier than I am, even on a good day. The problem was that the situation wasn't funny!! It required a simple business-like announcement assuring people they would either be given a refund or invited to a new date.

The unfortunate news was a lot more difficult to take from three people who probably didn't pay to get in anyway, attempting to turn it into a joke. It's like Brand turning up at my Mum's funeral cracking jokes in church trying to shag my sister.

Think about it though, Morrissey is sick, maybe puking or passing out, the band is worried, the staff is tending to Morrissey, so the guys just go out to keep the crowd occupied and give them info. It was spur of the moment stuff. I work backstage at our local venue and I can totally see this happening. It's better than leaving the crowd uninformed. I just hope Morrissey gets well so you all can go see him perform healthy.
