  • the truth is that even in 2012 FILIPINOS prefer to suck on american dick and copy nigger culture, the americans did not destroy filipino culture, FILIPINOS themselves did it by suckin on american dick.

filipino history is biased as shit, they never talk about AMERICANS KILLING filipinos, but when it comes to the europeans or SPANISH they the filipinos write an enitre bible about it, filipino history is shit, filipino culture is even more shit.

y was there a star of david? was it a jewish district of manila or something? just curious

  • @acousticLU Not a district, but Jews from Spain also migrated to Manila. They once owned businesses in Calle Escolta, Manila's then high-street.

  • pacquiao at the side on the second picture

  • @bugilator lol tht made me laugh. what u mean by tht "ALL mixed in one bowl" is the filipino race... those different races mixed all together is what the filipinoes are. so there is a filipino race duh' ...

  • morons... there is no such thing as a filipino race. we are islanders! a mixture of polynesians, southern chinese, indonesian, malaysian, sri vijayan, hispanic, and american ALL mixed in one bowl. so enough with that "filipino race" bullshit.

  • andree1991 it‘s not about the Filipino race, it‘s about our culture. The hispanic-filipino culture that the americans had messed with.

  • filipinos dont use this hispanic word dnt let the americans fool u spanish is just white european simply, cuz hispanic just means from hispania the roman name of spain. Also filipinos I declare all of you as spanish fuck the mexicans there just indios and there trying to say ur not spanish lol the hypocracy is killing me

  • @ANARCHYGOD2012 That's because WE AREN'T spanish herp derp, as you said white europeans, filipinos aren't white europeans, nor are we from hispania.

  • Can some one clarify something for me... Are Filipinos Hispanic or Asian?

  • @freedfighter96 Filipinos are Hispanicized Asians, meaning their culture is hispanic but they will always be asian at the same time.

  • @rosadobigd Nah bro, pre-colonial Philippines is more Similar to the Asians... Our rice farming techniques which is the backdrop of our culture was passed down to us even to this day from our ancestors form the Asian mainland. Also, our "TRUE" clothing style is of strictly Asian influence - do you know what a Malong, patadyong, putong, sablay, byachawi, sawal and salakot is? The Philippines even had ties to Chinese dynasty's, for example 'Kingdom of Tondo'.

  • @freedfighter96 that doesn't stop you from being hispanic as well, barong tagalog is the Filipino hispano style shirt, the mara clara dress, and other folkloric clothing has hispanic styles. Your talking about pre-hispanic as if we are still in pre-hispanic times, the reason why were not in pre-hispanic times is because we are already in hispanic times til today. Even though you dont speak spanish anymore doesn't erase the hispanic side of Filipino Hispano culture.

  • @freedfighter96 Don't let these guys get to you, you know more than enough of your heritage, which is good, people like rosadobigd are real colonial-mentalized jerks, rosadobigd even commented to me saying he wished filipinos were more mestizo looking, what does that tell you???

  • @freedfighter96 Hispanic is not a race, original hispanics belong to the same group and even the same ancient tribes of the English, and French people... all Celts, all white, Western Europeans.... Hispanic as you know it is a U.S term refers to anyone who comes from a spanish speaking country...

  • @freedfighter96 And yes, filipinos are asians, I don't identify myself as hispanic, and not a lot of other filipinos do either.

We have influence from Spain, but that doesn't make us hispanic, otherwise with that logic we should also call ourselves chinese or malaysians, or even indians for that matter, because we were influenced from them too.

  • @ThtOnePinoy FILIPINOS are NOT Asian.

  • @PeeGeeBeeDee Yes THEY ARE. We were asian first, and asian now idiot.

  • @ThtOnePinoy NO. Asian is a term applied to FILIPINOS once they came to The U.S. (that's how our government incorrectly classified them). Do FILIPINOS that live in The Philippines consider themselves Asian? NO, I Don't Believe So. Why would they? They'e more in line genetically and culturally with Guamanians (Chamorros), which are classified as Micronesians.

  • @PeeGeeBeeDee That's because, believe it or not, Japanese, Indonesians, Guamanians, and Filipinos share many genetic link with each other. And yes actually, Filipinos in the Philippines legitimately claim themselves as asian, it's the FIL-AMS who don't call themselves asian, why? Because the fucked up american system trashed their minds, believing everything must have labels. We have more ties with other asians than you may know.

  • @ThtOnePinoy Listen Lil Flipper, This Is The BOTTOM LINE: Do You Want To Be Classified In A Group That Includes CHINKS, NIPS, And GOOKS? Do You Want To Be Associated With Those Yellow Skinned Populations? Do You Really Think FLIPS Are Genetically And Culturally Similar To These People? YOU'RE A WANNABE ASIAN IF YOU DO.

  • @PeeGeeBeeDee Hmm, seems we have an asianophobe here...

No this is the bottom line, if you really think all an asian is are Chinese, Japanese, and Koreans, then you're really stupid. What about south east asia?

Do some research, you will be shocked to find out what makes a Filipino, A Filipino. And hmm, arguing with facts apparently makes me a wannabe, even though I am what I'm supposively a wannabe of? Lol, nice logic there.

  • @ThtOnePinoy What about Southeast Asia? Yes, Southeast Asians belong in The Asian category with East, West, and North (Northeast) Asians. I have no problem with that. FILIPINOS on the other hand, do NOT.

  • @PeeGeeBeeDee then you are an idiot, because that's where a lot of our ancestry came from, and perhaps some of their ancestry came from us, that is still being found out. The funny thing is, you'd probably even mention the Taiwanese aboringes as asians, but still not Filipinos.

Like I said, don't contradict yourself, follow a consistency, don't sound like an ignorant troll, and next time, stop making baseless claims because you are not backing your shit up, you are being immature about it.

  • @ThtOnePinoy peegeebeedee is just a troll, it is obviouss that he is stupid and doesnt know anything about filipinos and asia..i think he is just wasting your time.

  • @syndrah90 Whoa how did you find us here? ^_^

And indeed, but then again, this is youtube, you get used to trolls here, unfortunately...

  • @ThtOnePinoy HOW About You Bacc YO Ass Up So I Can Grind All On It.

  • @PeeGeeBeeDee (continued, read my last comment) and also, you're just arguing because of your asianophobic attitude, not because you want to believe in the facts... If you are Filipino, I find that hard to believe, especially since you just called me a Flipper. And if you're not, then it's not your place to judge, especially seeing as you really don't even know what a Filipino is to begin with...

  • @ThtOnePinoy Most Geneticists and Cultural Anthropologists, etc. are NOT FILIPINO. And one of their jobs is to determine (judge) who belongs in what Racial, Ethnic, Cultural group and who doesn't. So, me being FILIPINO or NOT FILIPINO has no bearing on the argument. By the way, what facts have you provided?

  • @PeeGeeBeeDee philippines is in asia, and people from philippines are filipinos,.of course filipinose are asians..what is wrong with your brain..?

  • @syndrah90 Aeta People live in The Philippines. The Philippines is in Asia. Are Aetas Asian? What is wrong with your mind?

  • @PeeGeeBeeDee yeah, and aeta people and their kind lives in malaysia, borneo and indonesia, not only in the philippines..my point is, philippines is in asia, thus it is politically correct to label filipinos as asians, and just for your information, our closest genetic relatives are the taiwan aborigines (the a mi tribe) who came from southern china, and our language is based on austronesian language which originated from those people who are asians..get it?

  • @syndrah90 Yeah, and Malaysia, Borneo, and Indonesia are considered Asia. And just for your information Polynesians genetic relatives are the Taiwan Aborigines who came from Southern China and their language is based on The Austronesian Language which originated from those Taiwan Aborigine People who were Asian..Get It? I don't think you get it so let me give you an example. Tokelauans descend from The Taiwanese Aboriginal People. Tokelauans speak an Austronesian Language. Are Tokleauans ASIAN?

  • @PeeGeeBeeDee let me clarify something, asian is what you call people who lives in asia, now, if tokleauans live somewhere in asia then they can be called asians, but if they dont, they are not asians. maybe you are just confused about the meaning of "asian" , it is not a genetic definition,.but if you want to know the genetic heritage of filipinos, then ill give you the answer, filipinos bear a genetic marker called haplogroup O, which is common in southeast asians, as well as in east asia.

  • @syndrah90 Wow. You're fairly knowledgeable, but somewhat unable to follow my logic. So, again, Aeta people live in what is considered Asia (The Philippines), but are they Asian? And that's just one marker. Polynesians share a number of markers with Southeast Asians, but are they Asian?

  • @PeeGeeBeeDee u are the one who cant follow my simple logic, so, again, asian is a term used to group people who live in asia, in otherwords, it is a geographical definition, not a genetic definition, aeta can be classified as asian simply because they live in asia. genetically, we filipinos are connected mostly to the ami tribe of taiwan, we are like their direct descendants, maybe you are confusing asian and mongoloid race, filipinos are part of the paleo mongoloid race along with S.E. azn

  • @syndrah90 We people in The Business prefer to use the term ASIAN to group people with Genetic Similarities. So, let's get back to my reasoning. Taiwanese Aborigines were the progenitors of people in Asia and Polynesia (for the most part). Over time these people diverged genetically from their Taiwanese ancestors (they became disparate ethnic groups). Some retained genes that allowed them to be classified as Asian, and some like Polynesians didn't. Filipinos fall in this didn't category.

  • CORRECTION: Progenitors of people of Southeast Asia (for the most part).

  • @PeeGeeBeeDee-------dyos ko! ang bobo naman nito! nakakabwisit na!........the closest genetic relatives of the ami tribe in taiwan are the filipinos! polynesians came from asia but are now living in the pacific islands, filipinos do share genetic resemblance to these people but not as remarkable as in the case of the taiwan aborigines..just look at their faces for god sake! do you even know who were resposible for populating these country? it were malays, indones, chinese, and indian..

  • Yo Soy Hispania Filipino! Cabrones!!

So please I do hope to hear from you soon. my email is joseflaviozaragoza@yahoo.com... hope to hear from you soon...

  • @sirach Upon arriving in America Columbus named these lands along with the indigenous population, then subjects of the Spanish crown, Hispaniola. Africans would later be brought to America, to serve the hispanics. Many indigenous families along with peninsulares would own these slaves. These slaves where not considered people, later in history they would though beginning their integration into the hispanic world.

  • @sirach Only a very, very small portion of filipinos knew any Spanish... it is not really part of your heritage... rather part of the heritage of your conquerors... thats way different.

  • @DonMiguel1810 Only a very, very small portion of Mexicans knew any Nahuatl ... it is not really part of Mexican heritage ... rather part of the heritage of the conquered... thats way different: Do you see how stupid that analogy of yours sound when you do it for Filipino culture. LOL

  • @Spearman36 Your analogy doesn't work. Filipinos did not have Spanish as an ancestral language. Mexicans have Nahuatl as one, as well as Spanish. And Nahautl was spoken on a much larger scale than Spanish was ever spoken in the Philippines.

  • @DonMiguel1810 Of course it fits! LOL. Nahuatl was not the only native language spoken in Aztec Mexico. And Spanish was spoken by ALL educated Filipinos. The peasantry who were illiterate knew Spanish in varying fluency or lack thereof during that time. It was not their first language after all. Just like only 30% of Mexicans knew Spanish as mother tonque before independence. the remaining 70% of Mexican spoke their native languages.

  • @Spearman36 I never said Nauhuatl was the only native language in Mexico...??? Where is your source for "30% of Mexicans" knowing Spanish before independence? Bottom line is, very few filipinos spoke Spanish, even at its highest point... If they did, where did it go? Spanish domination didn't end tagalog, so why would American end Spanish? It wasn't really there to begin with...

  • @DonMiguel1810 My source: Mexican History. Read it sometime. Spanish was the language of the Filipinos (Spaniards born and bred in the Phils.) and Educated Natives of diverse nations. Everyone including the native illiterate would have some knowledge of it even without fluency because of constant exposure. Spain didnt use tagalog. English was used as medium of instruction for public education after Spain hence the decline of Spanish in the Philippines unlike Mexico who used Spanish. duh.

  • @Spearman36 Not all or even most were illiterate, take a look at Sulat Kapampangan, why would we bother with a calligraphy system based on bhramic scripts if we were illiterate?

Perhaps you should stop focusing on the spanish side of our history, and widen it to the pre-hispanic, as you obviously lack knowledge in it from the other video.

  • @Spearman36 In other words: "I have no source, I'm just writing whatever I want" - Spearman36.

  • @DonMiguel1810 The reason Spanish died in the Philippines is ultimately because of WWII, and the transition of power from one ruling class to another. All that remains are the thousands of loan words, creoles, and religious fiestas. No one is trying to imitate Spain, or copy the culture's, they were conquered and rule over, and the languages simply died when the Americans came in. Had the Malolos Republic not fallen, they'd probably still be speaking Spanish. And at it's height, 60% could.

  • @DonMiguel1810 Mexican History: Mexican Race and Language: "According to the last census, almost seven million Mexicans speak languages such as Nahuatl, Mayan, Zapotec, Mixtec, Otomí and Tzeltal. "

Do your leg work. Your dumbass claim that the Philippines was an Spanish outpost showed how stupid you really are. Have you heard of the Spanish historian Ruescas??? Naahh. Ay, que tonto. De donde eres, cabron? Philippines??

  • @Spearman36 I have no idea why you list those groups, I know they exist... They are not part of our discussion. If the filifino islands weren't an outpost, why was there such a small number of Spanish and Mexican immigrants to them? It wasn't an important colony, the only thing of value it had, was its proximity to China, which was where the real trade took place. Go ahead and try to make the philipines look as if they are a "long lost sister" to the actual Hispanic world. No one gives a shit.

  • @DonMiguel1810 I dont give a shit to what you think. I am not trying to make the Philippines a long lost sister. It was a crucial part of the Spanish State in its history. Just telling the real story. Why dont you freaking moron read Spain's history and its colonies for a change. Filipino culture is influenced very much by Mexico and Spain. Like it or not it is present and all the scholars in the world including those who appear anti-spanish dont argue that it is hispanicized or hispanized.

  • you guys are not Hispanic! Viva IberoAmerica Viva Espana!

  • @salcali29 Haha, they try so hard!!! So sad.

  • They still look asia, thats cool they dont loose their asian features, diamond head cool slanted eyes.

  • Que Dios bendiga y proteja a nuestros hermanos filipinos.

  • les sacaronj las colonias y algunos españoles quieren ser sus aliados

  • Viva la Filipinas española¡

  • spanish and americans are all demons!!

  • The Philippines would have been better off as a British colony. What did Spain really do for the Filipinos except convert them to being Catholic?

  • @Southland27 Britain actually held us for only three years and gave the island back to Spain..

  • @Southland27

Spain created the Philippine State and Filipinos. Second, what former British colony (other than the U.S.A) were better off than the Philippines. India had its natural resources depleted, Nigeria is worst than the Philippines and there are many more in Africa and Asia. The bigger question is, are Countries who did not undergo colonialism better off today? Countries like Ethiopia and Thailand.? Both are not First World countries. They are not in the top tier nor rich countries.

  • @Spearman36 How about Singapore, Hong Kong and even Malaysia to a certain extent. Every country in the region aspires to be like Singapore. Hong Kong was the only other area to come anywhere close. That while under British administration. Then of course there is Canada. Despite corruption India is on the rise based largely on the infrastructure and rule of law introduced by the British and of course their language. Credit should of course go to Indians. How about Australia & New Zealand?

  • @Southland27

You cannot choose who the better colonizer based on reductionist assumptions. The english ravaged India and many parts of Africa that up to now its a mess. Colonialism is a mixed bag. The Philippines have been independent for how long now and you cannot blame Spanish colonialism just because it didnt turn out to be like Singapore or Hong Kong. Spaniards dont rule the country. The Native people do.

  • @Spearman36 How about British influence in the indepenent ex Spanish colony of Argentina?

  • @Southland27 If the Philippines had been British colony all native ethnic groups have disappeared

  • @IgnacioCalvo87 Which original natives disappeared under British rule?

  • @Southland27 Yes, United State, Canada...

  • @IgnacioCalvo87 Surely the natives you talk of in Canada were diminished and then assimilated. By and large they fought with the British.

Any ethnic cleansing in the US took place after the British were thrown out. I don't think any tribe was completely obliterated. They were highly controlled in reservations.

  • @Southland27 Reserves like zoo animals

  • @IgnacioCalvo87 Mabye - But not by the British.

  • @Southland27 then, the British they did in America? if you say that everything was USA?

  • @Southland27 Unified the country with the Spanish language and culture. Before that we had numerous dialects and tribes.

  • Hey, I have one question. In 0:29 there's a picture of the wall of intramuros, right? But instead of the Spanish coat of arms there's a star of David apparently carved on the stone where the coat of arms was. Does anyone know who did that and why?

Ojalá algún día hubiera un resurgir en la relación hispano-filipina y en las calles de Manila se volviera a oir la lengua de Cervantes. Un abrazo a todos los hermanos Filipinos, desde Bilbao, España.

  • im filipino i beliv i come from a latin heritage...

  • @crylock94 From what part of Mexico?

  • @torelo81 mostly Acapulco Guerrero, it is a southern state in Mexico. Lots of people from Mexico traveled by the "galleons" they were the major trade between Mexico and Filipinas.

  • @crylock94 could be true...you may be a descendant of a soldier...most of the so-called "Spanish" soldiers came from Spanish colonies, like Mexico, anyway...the poorest of the poor...lots of indios and mestizos.
