  • @emmaxx1987xx

Thanks a lot emmax. Sorry for the delay in replying.

Not by ear. Send me a message please.

    Cheers,

    Paul

  • Thank you for this great listening.Another reason to turn off the tv.

    Francis

  • Fantastic. It's videos like these that make people want to start playing guitar. You guy's make it look so easy!

I had never heard of Acoustic Alchemy before right now and had just noticed the cool name and thought I'd search it. I don't even need to hear the actual song to know this cover is amazing.

    Thanks for posting this.

  • Thanks a lot LuckyD.

We really appreciate the nice comment.

When are you going to get posting again?

    Cheers,

    Paul & Co.

  • Nick Webb would be proud of you guys! Very nice! Thanks for sharing this.

  • Cheers Luminor.

    RIP Nick. Great artist.

    Paul

  • Couold have listened to this for double the time. So relaxing. May I trouble you and ask how you recorded this it sounded so good and I can't see the mikes!!!

  • Cheers J.

It was recorded straight into my camcorder, in-built mic. As a result the sound could have been much better!

    Regards,

    Pault

  • Still quite impressive, but today I listened to it thru my computer built-in speakers and it explains why I found it so good last time when I was wearing my Bose noice reduction headphones...:-)

    Happy new year.

  • Absolutely lovely. Thank you for posting this.

  • Thanks a lot dimboysane.

  • This makes me smile as big as Texas....ear to ear. I stumbled on you while browsing other fine guitarists like Tommy Emmanuel, Stephen Bennett, Marco Porcu and others...what a pleasant surprise! Beautiful music and lovely to see you in the room working the song through with such ease and grace...thanks!

  • Thanks for the lovely comment D and the sub. Really appreciate it.

TE one of my fav's too.

    Cheers,

    Paul

  • Absolutly awesome i had no idea they did the gardeners world theme and bet they're honored the music was used for it. :D 5 stars fav'd

  • Thanks a lot beyondDNC.

    Paul, Frank & Co.

  • its late and im suposed to wear glasses but is that a 12 string i see or am i losing it

  • Hee hee!

Your eyes are not deceiving you.

It is a 12 string with 6 strings on.

I play mainly classical guitar and the wider neck on the 12 string is more akin to what I am used to.

    Good spot!

    Cheers,

    Paul

  • I'm loving this cover, brilliant work!

  • Absolutely brilliant!

  • Steady on truth...some missed timing on my part.

    Thanks all the same!

    Cheers

    Paul

  • Brilliant guys . . . pleasure to see your posts.

  • Thanks a lot CJAJ.

    Keep well.

    Regards,

    Paul

  • Thanks guys. It was nice to hear the full version of that piece of music. Very soothing!

  • Thanks a lot Dinky.

Much appreciated that you took time to watch and comment.

  • Hi, I was just wondering if you were by any chance the people who composed the music for the recent Vaporub ad? I could really be off the mark, but it does sound like something you may compose. Can you please advise either way. Thanks.

  • Hi Dinky.

Hee hee. This is a cover of AA's tune.

I don't know if they have done the Vaporub ad. Sorry.

    Cheers,

    Paul

  • Hey Paul

I'm still unclear if the tune I was referring to is one of yours. Did the ad use a cover of one of your songs? Thanks

  • This is a great piece, and you guys do it justice...

However, it sufers hugely from a bad mic setup/recording.

    Otherwise great stuff.

  • Thanks a lot Runteh.

We know about the poor quality. Sorry. It was just played into the camcorder built-in mic, not seperate mics.

    We will learn next time.

    Regards,

    P n F & Co

  • absolutely well done! 5 stars!

  • Thanks a lot Bruno.

    Cheers,

    Frank, Paul & co.

  • I'm impressed. I loved it. Thanks for posting it.

  • Cheers LivinT

  • Loved it. Saw AA at Dartford a few weeks ago - they are the best. Like your Classical Gas vid as well - another of my favourite tunes.

  • Cheers WWBall.

We have a lot in common. This, Focus and basketball!

Jan Akkerman is a hero of mine, as was ...Isiah Thomas. Unbelievable ball player. Look him up here on YT.

    Cheers,

    Paul

  • Good stuff people. Thx

  • Oustanding performance especially being that you are brothers! You guys should check out a group by the name Strunz and Farah if you are up for a challenging duet! Thanks for sharing. Keep me postedi f you decide to cover one of their songs with your brother! Later. 95

  • Cheers bubbit.

Yes, it is my brother, his wife and their on the camcorder!

  • although some parts the keyboard is not in sync with you....just a little...otherwise its amazing...hope you come up with more beautiful music.

  • It is the drum machine that we are not keeping time with. I was all giddy!!

I did AA's Wind Of Change as a solo here on YT. Do have a look because it has a lovely melody.

    Paul

  • you'll are stunning..this is ma all time fav of acoustic alchemy....you'll are simply brilliant...you'll can go a long way..being so talented..

  • Haha!!

Thanks for the lovely comment K.

I will pass it on to all concerned.

    Regards,

    Paul

  • There was nothing wrong with this version of the Gardener's World theme tune intro and they should have retained it for the duration of the run - in fact forever, it was simply enchanting from start to finish.

  • I agree entirely Jack. Somethings just don't need changing/can't be improved upon. Shame on the Beeb!

    Cheers,

    Paul n Frank n Co.

  • Well played fellas!

  • Cheers Sundance.

  • This is a favourite piece of mine and has been ever since it was first used as the theme tune to GW. The guitar lines were published in an edition of Guitar Techniques over 10 years ago (which I bought) and only this year have I started to learn it! Nicely authentic with both steel and nylon strung guitars, and well done to the lovely lady playing the ironing board. I have tried to play mine like that but just keep getting dull thuds. Great job - well done.

  • Cheers E.

    Thanks for watching.

    Paul n Frank

  • i really wish you could be my next door neighbors...you play really well and nice.

    goog job..

  • wow:) you guys are really good, i cant believe you haven't got a record deal. haha:D the ironing boards okay, it gives the video a warm feeing. haha! ur family is so talented! they're amazing.

  • Cheers Nadine.

Big Bro' is the talented one. I try to follow in his footsteps, badly!

    Paul

  • 綺麗ですね。 すばらしい!

  • Very nicely played, really enjoyed this one

    ***** for a great performance!

  • i love it!

  • Cheers kid.

  • Paul, you are very very welcome. The care and attention to detail in which you replicate AA tracks is so admirable. Best of luck to you Paul and have a wonderful Christmas.

  • stunning fellas ! If I was your next door neighbour, I'd be holding a party right now with your lot invited !

  • Thanks a lot Classical. If I were your next door neighbour, I would be round in a shot!!

    Regards,

    Paul

  • bravo, that was ace! i had a go at this myself but nowhere near as goos as this :)

i just wish this was still used as the tv theme, it was the only reason i actually watched the prgram with my fam.

  • Cheers Pickler.

Did you use the same sheet from Guitar Techniques magazine?

If not, send me a private message and it will follow sir.

    Now.... get in that garden!

    Regards,

    Paul

  • Very nice. I am a big fan of Acoustic Alchemy and your performance of this song is great!

    Thanks for watching.

  • Hi Paul,

you are amazing me more and more, everytime i watch your posts!

  • i only listen to hip hop and house.... and thinks like cafe del mar . but this is very cool , it sounds like chill on sunset in spain !!

  • Cheers PokerFace.

  • Wonderful. It sounds a bit different. Is it in the same key as Acoustic Alchemy's original.

  • Cheers Knight. I think so, yes.

    Regards,

    Paul

  • Amazing.. tabs?

  • lovely tune

    very well rendered here

well done guys, keep up the awesome work

    ~Francis

  • Thanks a lot Francis.

  • awesome great tune!

  • Cheers mate.

  • To my uneducted ears this sounds pretty much spot on with the TV version. Very well done, good vid though the lighting was a bit weird, it doesn't detract from the music.

  • Thanks a lot Chubba.

As for the vid quality, you will see it dims when the light reflects off the shiny acoustic I am playing.

I did say the Lighting Director should be fired....t'was me!!

    Regards,

    Paul

  • Very Nice .

True to the original by webb and carmichael .

    Regards,

    Paul

It is a great piece. Was yours from CG Magazine too?

We will certainly have a look at Ballad For Kay. Thanks for the intro to it.

    Regards,

    Paul

  • Excellent. I learnt both guitar parts and always meant to try and record them together but never got round to it. You should next have a go at Ballad For Kay.

  • Awesome. I believe Nick Webb would approve this and I hope Greg Carmichael return to this earliest Acoustic Alchemy style.

  • Thank you very much for the kind words.

Do have a look at Natural Elements (In the Morning Light) on my Channel. I duetted with my brother on it, plus a couple of other family members in support!!

    Regards,

    Paul

  • Sorry. Ignore my first reply. I thought you had commented on Wind Of Change!!

    Regards,

    Paul, Frank & Tina.

  • very good!

do you think you mite be able to do a cover of trail blazer by A.A. in the near future??

  • We will certainly have a look at it. Problem is that Frank works nights and I sleep them! So finding the time to practice and record anything is scarce.

    Paul

  • sweet!

    sounds exciting!

    Thanks.

  • Cheers Faizn.

    Hope you're keeping well.

    Paul

  • Love it! U guys(and Gal)are awesome ...Thank you....

    Regards,

    Paul

  • I really enjoyed that! I'm a ole rocker...big ZZ Top fan...if you visit my channel you'll see that. But, I'm also a die hard Acoustic Alchemy fan as well. I have some wonderful early video of Nick and Greg if you feel like taking a look at them, stop by. You did this song beautifully! Thanks!

  • Thanks a lot Buckle. I will indeed stop by.

  • That was absolutely lovely. I've been after some tab or the song for ages. I'd love to play it, any chance of some tab or music. Cheers

  • Thanks Street.

We learned it a long time ago from Guitar Techniques magazine, but neither of us has the music anymore. Sorry.

  • Thanks for replying anyway. I can't seem to find the music on any AA alsbum, don't suppose you could help? Thank

  • I do see your view point. But thanks for sharing your love for good music! It is appreciated.

  • Incredible. Do you guys play professionally? If you don't you should.

  • Cheers Kermit...thankfully we don't!!

  • Ha ya there's a part that seems you two BOTH a little ahead of the beat but which makes it fine, that's the beauty of human-played music isn't it...and you both end on the right beat anyway. good music, great partner ship, gosh i missed those days, where my friends are around all the time playing music and such...

  • Cheers Jeremy.

    Regards,

    Paul

  • Gread music, I like your music very much :-) And thanks again ;-)I hope to learn it soon

    Regards,

    Fabjan

  • Cheers Fabjan. They write some great stuff. Have a look at them doing Wind Of Change, properly!

    Regards,

    Paul

  • Is this a tribute to the Foot on the bottom right corner? :D

All of you are looking to that direction, it seems like you are playing for the foot!!

    Hehehehe :D

    Very nice!! You guys rock!

    :D

  • Thanks a lot cloakeddog. The owner of the foot was keen to get off the settee and parade in front of camera. A concerted glare from "the band" kept her in position!!!

    Regards,

    Paul

  • What a musical beautiful family you got , Poul 8-) When i here some of my Africans friends playing instruments using that robotic for skeleton rhythm i want to revoke all musical degrees. That rhythm takes takes all feelings away, i prefer the bit of the human harts LOL i thought it fits better to us. so long

There a few bits in it that need ironing out!

    Frank, Paul & Co

  • Another excellent performance. It's great that you can share your love of guitar and music with family. No one else in my family even tries. They're smarter than me.
