  • Will it add up my current the ram? For example, if i got 1 gb ram and i add 8gb to it.. will it make 9gb of ram??

  • @tingwenjiat Unfortunately no, but the system will do some things on the backend that will help manage your RAM usage. If you already have 8GB of ram, I wouldn't mess with ReadyBoost, you probably won't notice any difference. Windows does an awesome job managing memory already, especially when you have 8GB to play with (thats what I have on my current system).

  • HI Mr can readyboost help for play game?

  • @ferdaws2000 I would say yes, a little. Read through the comments below, I know a lot of people have said they weren't able to play some maps, etc until they used this method.

  • I did this with my netbook recently. With some slimming tactics(getting rid of all the crap Asus put on my netbook, limiting processes that launch at startup, etc), and adding a 2GB SD card for readyboost, it definitely helped. It started out a sluggish on the net, and flat out slow running scans. Now it is a pretty impressive little computer.

  • @Drev222 Awesome!

  • hey dude , i'm wondering how much the memory usage when the netbook is idle ?

  • @arielxarg Ah sorry, I took all my netbooks back to the stores where I bought them... ended up using the money for something else...lol

  • @PCAddictsLive lol ok no prob :D

  • google is looking for brains like the one you have..what a great video!!!!!

  • @txt523 LOL - thanks! Thats funny!

  • I have an acer aspire one, too!!!!

I know how to decrease the icons size!!

  • @mohamedkaba95 HAHAHA cool... hold ctrl and scroll your mouse wheel.

  • doesnt not work for me i got windows 7

and it says that this device doesnt work with readyboost

  • i no it sucks, u need a newer drive

  • @willyGMS Your USB flash drive probably isn't able to use it... try different USB drives.

  • what the hell did you run on your netbook that it is nearly all the time 100% CPU?? I don't think you should benchmark (readyboostmonitor) with a full load CPU.

Didnt know that a readyboost monitor is available. Good hint!

  • @pduarandall LOL - probably the recording software.

  • Comment removed

  • of course LOL! Btw: How did you manage that the monitor software works on win7? Compatibility to XP?

  • maybe he was recording it on this laptop...

  • @carbonseven1st Yupp, it was recording from the netbook - poor quality - check out my latest video, I did another readyboost video.

  • whats badass is that on 7 64bit pro u can hook up over 190gb of usb ram!!!!! :)

  • @datmonkeyjoe Wow, no kiddin?

  • yea i think its like 195 or something...its just perfect if you have a TB for your laptop :)

  • whats is alot less bad ass is how slow usb is

  • Was the word "Utilize" a new word for you when you made this video? You seem to use it A LOT in this video hehe. Awesome info btw!

  • @TreyFriend HAHA did I? Hell, I dunno lol

  • should i buy windows 7 pro or premium. they both cost 30 for students. should i get 64bit or 32bit version? i know current netbook's don't run 64bit, but i don't plan on buying any current netbook's. let me know soon. and how many computers can i use my windows 7 disk on? could i install it on 2 computers?

  • LOL, I answered most of the questions on another video you commented on. You can only activate 1 copy on one machine

  • i can help but be curios lol sorry

  • haha, what?

  • i was tryin to say im sorry for being inquisitive.

  • HAHA, no worries man! Keep the questions coming!

  • You can install the 64bit on one machine, and the 32bit on another. Not "supposed" to, but it works.

  • Hey cool i just got Windows 7 on it but i want to upgrade my memory, know how to?

  • You should just be able to remove one of the covers on the underside, and you will see your current stick of ram. replace that one, and you should be good.

  • Smart move by Acer, the D150 was very hard for the normal user to upgrade w/o breaking it.

  • Thats what I heard... Even watched some videos that showed replacing the ram on the older models was a huge task.

  • i use sony 2gb USB stick for Ready boost ,the only reason is because i have a slow hard drive and 3gb of RAM ,(and also quad core ), that shit helps alot man ,i started using it yesterday, i can see a big difference

  • Awesome! Glad it helps!
