@tingwenjiat Unfortunately no, but the system will do some things on the backend that will help manage your RAM usage. If you already have 8GB of ram, I wouldn't mess with ReadyBoost, you probably won't notice any difference. Windows does an awesome job managing memory already, especially when you have 8GB to play with (thats what I have on my current system).
@ferdaws2000 I would say yes, a little. Read through the comments below, I know a lot of people have said they weren't able to play some maps, etc until they used this method.
I did this with my netbook recently. With some slimming tactics(getting rid of all the crap Asus put on my netbook, limiting processes that launch at startup, etc), and adding a 2GB SD card for readyboost, it definitely helped. It started out a sluggish on the net, and flat out slow running scans. Now it is a pretty impressive little computer.
what the hell did you run on your netbook that it is nearly all the time 100% CPU?? I don't think you should benchmark (readyboostmonitor) with a full load CPU.
Didnt know that a readyboost monitor is available. Good hint!
should i buy windows 7 pro or premium. they both cost 30 for students. should i get 64bit or 32bit version? i know current netbook's don't run 64bit, but i don't plan on buying any current netbook's. let me know soon. and how many computers can i use my windows 7 disk on? could i install it on 2 computers?
You should just be able to remove one of the covers on the underside, and you will see your current stick of ram. replace that one, and you should be good.
i use sony 2gb USB stick for Ready boost ,the only reason is because i have a slow hard drive and 3gb of RAM ,(and also quad core ), that shit helps alot man ,i started using it yesterday, i can see a big difference
Will it add up my current the ram? For example, if i got 1 gb ram and i add 8gb to it.. will it make 9gb of ram??

You can install the 64bit on one machine, and the 32bit on another. Not "supposed" to, but it works.

PCAddictsLive 2 years ago
Smart move by Acer, the D150 was very hard for the normal user to upgrade w/o breaking it.
Gilbs2211 2 years ago
Thats what I heard... Even watched some videos that showed replacing the ram on the older models was a huge task.
