@njsimmon KRS-ONE has on more than one occasion said that he had it in for Def Jam back then, but in the same sentence gives the label its props for basically funding hip hop...so yes he was going at Run-DMC and also LL Cool J, "others say they're BAD but they're bugging"...KRS-ONE supposedly had a version of the song "Outta Here" where he lets all the whole Def Jam have it. But that vesion never made it off the cuting room floor.
KRS-One is one of the best, if not THE best MC in rap history. Even if you listen to the other rap bands of the time, BDP was by far the most innovative, progressive, and positive Hip Hop. Even now his rhymes are tight, well put together, and meaningfull.

@njsimmon KRS-ONE has on more than one occasion said that he had it in for Def Jam back then, but in the same sentence gives the label its props for basically funding hip hop...so yes he was going at Run-DMC and also LL Cool J, "others say they're BAD but they're bugging"...KRS-ONE supposedly had a version of the song "Outta Here" where he lets all the whole Def Jam have it. But that vesion never made it off the cuting room floor.

KRS-One is one of the best, if not THE best MC in rap history. Even if you listen to the other rap bands of the time, BDP was by far the most innovative, progressive, and positive Hip Hop. Even now his rhymes are tight, well put together, and meaningfull.
