Tiers or not, when I made a trip down to an arcade in Singapore, all I saw was Ryu. I was a Ryu player and abandoned that character due to me prefering fancy combos and stuff.

Ryu is alright, but 4 machines with only Ryu players is really overboard IMO. I actually thought it was Vanilla at first, but when I put my credit in I was really shocked, AE? All Ryu players? What the ***?

Holy Christ I wasnt up to date on fei long being mid tier and holy shit let the negative comments rein in. Fortunately no one has debunked (or even commented on) my main point. Street = balanced. not only balanced, as balanced as it gets (for now anyway). You're right about SSF4 being fairly balanced however, but it is not considered balanced by many, that's why a balancing patch is coming out 2012.

2012 patch - eh, I am gonna wait out the rumors. So far they just jumble and nerf mid tier chars while they jumble and boost top tiers. The only interesting thing Ive heard is Vega getting a link to his ultra, which he should have had years ago.

I main Bison since vanilla and yes Fei was like beast on super......but again skill and knowledge depth determent you win or lose. that is how FG is, experience and knowledge......

Talking about tiers is pointless in ssf4. The game is so beautifully balanced. Fei Long (mid tier) and viper (low-mid tier) took first and second place in evo as you all know.

Daigo was in a tough spot - capcom kept continuously nerfing his only character, he was forced to abandon ryu. He doesnt have 4 years of yun experience you know? He played so messy and shitty in evo this year Im sure upcoming tourneys will show improvement with yun.

@YoghurtC Kazunoko,(if I spelled it right) is the second best Yun player and is ranked very high in the top tier list in Japan. Fuudo, Kindevu, and Momochi are some others who beast with Yun and are ranked very high. But I do agree that Daigo does make Yun "godlike tier" lol

Genei Jin's powered down a lot both in its potency and how frequently you can use it per round. You need real footsies / spacing to win with Yun the way Daigo does.
