I've never heard of a baby shower for second babies. Here we usually only throw them for the first baby. You did a great job on the shower. And how sweet that you got presents for the big brother, too! :)

this might be a weird question.. haha but when you host a baby shower, are you expected to pay for it all? i had a friend who just had a baby, I was going to host her shower but i felt bad because I couldnt really afford the decorations and food or anything. do the new mother (or mother-to-be) and parents typically help pay for the shower?

Haha my parents didn't know what I was going to be either, but my mom still had her baby shower. I saw a picture of the cake from the shower and it said: "Pink or blue, may your wish come true." But that's smart to not have a shower if you don't know the gender of your baby.
