Old Drag Racing Film (Vroom! 1974 Winternationals)

My God...whoever is responsible for the footage and the music should have gotten an award...as they blended the "feel" of the early 70's with the footage of the time. By this I mean, when this vid begins morphing into slo-mo...as does the music...and becomes all distorted visually with distorted audio too...it becomes much like an acid trip. which was all the rage at that time. I would bet all my assets that whoever made this was no stranger to psychedelics. Anybody else see it the same way?

The footage is from at least two different Winternationals: 1973 and 1974

@tommynacc I agree, I've been to both of them, i think there's some of the 1972 winternationals in there as well; for a split second at the very beginning, You see bill tidwell taking off in the Rossi, Lisa & Tidwell streamliner top fueler, Sad that the team didn't qualify.

If someone is interested... the music seems to be from Basil Poledouris. It says so in the credits, however his name is spelled incorrectly. So far I could not find the tune, any help welcome.
