  • Very good technique. I concur that your stances are well done - Your head does not increase or decrease in elevation. Good form.

  • Tan Tui?

  • I am just learning, this comment is out of confusion not criticism. Isn't the precious duck swims through lotus a lower punch, whats the difference from that and a regular straight punch. Is it just executed from a horse instead?

  • This is ace, bow stance is really just right.

    5 Star

    : )

  • Your bow stances are very high. A good bow stance should be much lower.

  • Thanks for the comment. I disagree. My bow stance is fine. Different styles have different methods and different stances. Perhaps you'd like to show us your stance?

  • nice

  • MMA = the real deal. this is nonsence...

  • dude MMA is jus a sport...this is nonsence to u bcuz u dnt see the tru form in it. This is art not used for fightin constantly. MMA is real yea bt u wnt see many other styles in there bcuz other styles r not meant for MMA jus for self dicipline and defense not a chance to get a title shot n make money.

  • I believe that MMA is often seen as "the real deal" is because it follows the idea that there is no such thing as internal force. An idea that is, sadly, perceived by most westerners as "Tai Chi Mubo Jumbo". I am sure Sifu Anthony can help you find Sifu Kai, who is a former MMA fighter if my sources are correct. If this is so unpractical, why would an MMA fighter turn to it?

  • shaolin = mma. fighting is fighting.

  • Who told you shaolin is mma? Oo

  • it is martial arts - mixed up with different discilpines; example, eagle style striking with the stance-work from tiger style . . . plus bits and pieces of conditioning - different internal and external methods : ]

  • hello

sorry if I ask this or in other words show a bit of critic :).

but where's the power? or do you just not do this "sequence" with power because of the demonstration?

secondly: isn't your body supposed to connect with your punches? (step and punch should connect instead of step and then punch)

if this is normal in your style then I'm sorry to have shown critic to your style :)

    greets

  • This video is to help my students review. I go slowly so that they can see the details of waist movement, footwork, and the hand movements. But yes, when things go faster, everything is connected. "One part moves, all parts move."

  • From looking at your other videos it seems that you study both Hung Gar and northern style is that true? A lot of what you do looks like Choy lay fut. By the way nice videos

  • Thank you for the kind words. I practice southern Shaolin Kung Fu. It is similar to Hung Gar Kung Fu, which also comes from Shaolin. Choy Lay Fatt also comes from Shaolin, so there are similarities to that as well.
