Actually Kojima said this is the last Metal Gear SOLID, not the last Metal Gear. Its the final Metal Gear that follows Snakes story. There will be another Metal Gear, mark my words

You raise an interesting point when it comes to the violence aspect, but let me tell you, all the Fox 5's in the world aren't even gonna touch this game. For the very reason you stated. It's real, it's TOO real for them, this series has always had a strong view on the govt. and war, and with MGS4 delving deep into PMC's it's getting even crazier. They don't wanna bring any more attention to that kind of thing because that's what gets people thinking about how the media and govt. controls us all.

i left this comment before but im going to say it again when GTA4 came out everyone caught the GTA flu every one got it and in about 2 weaks everybody got over just like the flu Metal Gear is a Virus once you get this game you will never be the same again so everybody watch out June 6th the epidemic is going to spread and there is no cure symptoms may include dehydration not blinking for several hours lost of sleep and a complete lost or alienation of all friends family and loved ones

i think gta is like a blockbuster film, (eg spider man or somthing). But i think mgs4 is more like classic movie, that may not sell as much, but will be considered more highly than gta. (eg godfather)(i see how its ironic that im saying mgs is more like the godfather than gta lol)
