  • Le forum GM 3800 Québec pour parler et rencontrer d'autres passioné de 3.8L GM au Québec! Vous êtes bienvunue dans gang!

  • hey how are those pacesetter headers doing? i mihg tget some for my bonneville but i've heard bad storeys about em.

  • What kind of exhaust system is that?

    It sounds awesome.

  • post cam...

    holy shit

  • sounds fantastic, just get a set of dumpers and youll turn heads.

  • how much were those gauges?? i've been looking to buy new ones but cant really find any...also how hard are they to install? kind of seems like it would be a bitch to do

  • no offense, but my gtp runs quicker 0-60 (around the 1:40 mark) and i only have a cheap ebay intake. did you scan for KR?

  • The 0-100 at the 1:40 mark is with an XP cam and supporting mods. If you only have a cheap ebay intake i highly doubt you run a quicker 0-60. There was 0* KR at the time of this video, however my PCM is not reading an o2 voltage. The PCM is fine, as well is the sensor and wiring, so I believe there is a reference ground problem. The o2 problem still is not fixed, but for the short period of time that it was functioning correctly the car would run a high 12 second pass.

  • ill send u a vid of my 0-60

  • @slammedGP actually, i could believe that hes running a faster 0-60 time. in this vid you were only getting 0-60 in a tad over 6 seconds. stock gtps are getting 6.5. anyways, anything else done since this video? i love these cars :)

  • @slammedGP thats it? mines stock and im about 100% sure id smoke you.

  • you cut that intake up, is it really something worth doing or was it a try and see sort of thing? got a swapped 96 monte, mean as hell, rebuilding sisters ssei monday, wondering if its worth my time or not, not builing motor up hard, mainly a motor rebuild- but if its worth it, ill do it up- hows the gp still diong?? ~p

  • pretty impressive , 35 mpg highway is a little stretch considering stock there 28 mpg highway

  • It's entirely possible. The car could have been much more fuel efficient in stock form. Since it's been modded, the timing and fuel tables have been reprogrammed for decreased fuel consumption. there are many ways to do this...Stock cruise timing is low, like 25-30 degrees advance. My cruise ign timing is now 40-42 degrees advance, which greatly improved fuel mileage. The addition of high flow intake and exhaust also increases fuel efficiency.

  • There is a GTP with the same mods as mine that sees 40+ MPG. The driver of this GTP is one of the top beta tuners in Canada working for Digital Horse Power.

  • Right i see, just 35mpg out of a high performance motor just seems excessive but im not denying it or anything..i put a flowmaster muffler and a just a cold air intake on my durango and i got 22.5 mpg out of it average when i calculated it and its rated to get 15 city and 20 highwat

  • slow

  • Sure. That's what all 1.6l Honda drivers say.

  • haha might wanna check out the vids bud ima 5.7 gto guy with 500 plus hp but yea im drive a honda

  • Only the 5.7? Pfft. I'd put my GTP up against it. It's going turbo this summer anyway. 500hp will be nothing.

  • lol sweet dude lol haha ur funny got my magnacharger going on august 1 lol so try close to 700hp

  • I don't need to, but i'll call bs on that one. My GTP will still take it. I'll believe it when i see it.

  • lol u can call bs on w/e u want dude your gtp right now wouldnt even touch my car lol not even close

  • Whatever you say. Just remember, talk is cheap. Prove it.

  • damn right there. im with put money on the GTP. then if u guys ever do line up, slight change , feel free to link up with my buick when ur damn good ready

  • this guy must not know the extent of performance these L67's can produce, i hate people that say "well when i get my supercharger i'll kick your ass and get 1000hp" they need to show it to believe it otherwise its all just talk

  • what kind of gas mileage do you get with all those mods?

  • 35 MPG highway

    26 MPG city

  • the XP is a great cam ,my buddy has it. im running the S1X almost identical

  • That cam makes a world of difference.

  • damn that car sounds ridiculous

  • As in good ridiculous or bad ridiculous?

  • amazing.. it sounds like an old school muscle car and that superharger whine oh my god i about shit my pants

  • Awesome, thanks man. I put a lot of time and effort into the car and i'm really happy with how it turned out.

  • i tryed looking for those gauge overlays on ebay and couldnt find anything but where do you live??

  • I live in Ontario in Canada. The gauges availability is weird. They were off Ebay for a while, then back on, and off again. I know there is another company that sells them, but they are way overpriced. I'll see if i can find the company name.

  • ok thanks that would be really sweet if you could find the company name for me for those overylays

  • thank you for finding that for me are you planning on doing anything else to your car?

  • Yeah, eventually i'll intercool it, add a northstar throttle body, upgrade the tranny, add 3.29 gears and then do some aesthetic things like wheels, hood etc.

  • yeah thats what im planning for right now accept the gears i probably should but o well i am gonna put a thrasher shift kit in does the tb help that much?

  • bad ass car this car gives me hope for my riviera

  • i spelled bought like a redneck whoops

  • i just baught an 01 gtp last week. love the car, im trying to figure out what kind of cam is in it because it has 1.9 stage 3 intense rockers and l36 medium springs, any idea?

  • If it has 1.9 rockers, then it has a stock cam, as no aftermarket cam will work with the high lift of the 1.9 rockers. I hope this helps. To clarify, which springs do you have? L36? Do you know the rating of the springs? ie) 90lb or 105lb?

  • Hey man ive got a 98 GT in which im putting a cam in and a rollermaster double. how did you go about removing the balance shaft and plugging the oil feed hole.

  • I left the balance shaft in. I just removed the shaft gears so the JP Double roller would have clearance. If you leave the balance shaft in, you don't have to worry about plugging the oil hole. If you remove it, you have to plug the hole...ie) get a plug with pipe thread, cut threads into the oil hole, thread the plug in and bronze or weld around the edge of the plug to seal it.Have a look at my build video, there are some pics there that may help you.

  • Very nice. I counted an 11-second 60-100 mph time pre-cam, and an 8-second 60-100 mph time post cam. Utterly unscientific, of course :)
