Dude, you really do sound great. I was a drummer for many years-a lefty. I could never quite master Niko. I've only heard one other ride cymbal with that great sounding bell; it was my own Zildjian Earth Ride. I love how you maintain lifting the high hat to keep your timing throughout-been a drummer long?

Thanks so much. I've been playing for 20 years but I don't play much anymore. I'm just a hobby drummer. I will go months without picking up sticks then try to record a song within a few takes. I have thrown my back out doing it that way but that's what you get when you stop your regular practice routine. Thanks again!

He is playing the bell part on the ride, probobly to make the sounds stand out.. to show you he is playing everything right including, Nicko's signature ride pattern... So that might be why his "ride sounds weird" but thats just what i see.

Nice cover. Great snare sound but oooohh those toms ! Surely that roland has got a better tom patch than that. Sounds like an 80's Simmons kit a la Spandau Ballet. Also love that China. Is it a Wuhan? Amazing the sound those things produce at a fraction of the cost of the big names. Keep up the good work. One suggestion about the Ride mix. Not sure what type of mixing capability you've got but you might want to remove some of the bottom end from the Ride leaving just the higher frequencies.

Nicko has his ride clamped really tightly. His ride is just about the only Paiste cymbal I like. Sound wise like you I'm more a Zildjian/Sabian man.

I used to have same problem with my ride (mega bell Z coustom) we pulled my overheads to just behind me on either side about a foot over my head worked great.. Nice fills!
