I believe is mostly status. Looking at the black African American athletes that mostly date pretty white and hispanics girls. And if their not those two races and the girl is black, they would be extremely hot or it can just be their "High school sweet heart." However, I do believe race for most normal people in America is a major factor. There are too many variables to just come up with one conclusion. How attractive you are plays a big role as well.
There is nothing more passionate and fantastic about being with a partner of the same race. It's as if there is nothing holding you back, no regret, clarity of thought, no worry, just simply damned beautiful.
I am a 36year old black man. In my twenties I dated loads of white girls and some black girls. As I got older, I tended to be more attracted to black women. I now date only black women or mixed (black and anything else). I think it has more to do with whom I fit with culturally and I guess can identify more with my own experiences. So for me those things are more important in my decision to choose a partner and ultimately race plays a role in selection because of shared experiences.
@nwankwog I agree with you man. I am Afro-Latino and I have been with mostly Latin girls. I grew up watching Latin tv and always loved their looks. However, it has always been hard to get a White Lating girl to date me. I believe they would never dare because of how they were brought up. Puerto Rican girls are an exemption because they are more open minded and willing to experiment--they just don't care.I did noticed that it has always been easier for me to talk to girls of the same skin color.
@Dude that likes Mexican girls: We get it. You don't have to say it 9999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999 times.
I wonder what the purpose of making this video commentary on the study is. If they directly asked the question then everybody knows they'll answer something different than what they actually prefer.I mean they won't say "I prefer asians" or "I dont like blacks" Would be good to see more information about how this study is done.
I have a theory as to why this is based on my observations. I also went to Berkeley and saw a lot of mixed ethnicity couples. There are many black guy and white girl couples, white guy and asian girl couples but not the other way. I think it is because they naturally prefer a female that is smaller in size than they, and female prefers males who are larger in size and that is how people are among those ethnicities in general, with many exceptions of course.
Just look at the data. The kids in school right now are the most racially mixed generation in US history. Caucasians are already the minority in this generational cohort. When polled, they consistently state that race doesn't matter. They are also less nationalistic & have a more global focus. They are more interested in other cultures & what is going on around the world. They don't believe Americans are superior to all others & don't believe that our country has the right to be imperialistic.
Whites as a whole believe those things? lol, maybe the university population believe those things, I dont think there is data about the whole white population
@StopFear Why did you make such an assumption? This video wasn't about just white people. My comment certainly wasn't just about white people.
I'm not asking you to trust my opinion, but I would ask you to actually look at the data. Just do a web search for polls/surveys about the Millennial generation using such search terms as 'race', 'racism', 'inter-racial', 'bi-racial', et cetera. Always look at the data before stating opinions or judging the opinions of others.
@StopFear When I responded to you, I was responding to the only comment you had written in response to my comment. I even directly mentioned which assumption I was talking about. You asked: "Whites as a whole believe those things?" This question came out of left field since no one made any claims about whites as a whole. So, it was natural for me to wonder why you would jump to such an assumption. However, even now that I've pointed this out, you act like you still can't see it.
ok, I was assuming whites believe what you wrote in this quote "When polled, they consistently state that race doesn't matter. They are also less nationalistic & have a more global focus. They are more interested in other cultures & what is going on around the world. They don't believe Americans are superior to all others & don't believe that our country has the right to be imperialistic." That seems like many things to attribute to caucasians to be accurate
