These days, people see the world from American point of view and have tendency to standardize or Americanize everything. Seriously, people need to accept and respect the cultural difference. Dogs may be the best friend in American culture, but they are not necessarily the best friend in other cultures. Furthermore, why do American people eat beef, pork and chicken? I am pretty sure that there are some people raising them as their pet.

Just because Cows, Pigs, Horses don't express emotion doesn't unfairly make them lower than dogs. They are all equal, they can be used in various ways by their owners. They can be food too. It's a matter of choice.
