HOB's are the enemy of floating plants. It was the only thing that could kill my duckweed

You can actually eat duckweed. Its supposedly high in protein and tastes like lettuce, Good survival food.

But yea, it often will come in from plants you order or pick up from your local pond store. They would probably be happy to give you some if you bought plants from them.

Just expect to have to clean the top of the tank about every month.

FYI to watchers: Goldfish eat duckweed. If you grow it in one tank it could be used to feed a second goldfish tank or pond. Also it makes for good compost.
