I am playing space wolves codex, but want to swich to BT, at the moment I have 2 HQ that I can use as emp champs, chaplain, 10 marines, 2 squads of 9 marines, 10 termis with 2 TH/SH and LC, land raider, 2 rhinos/razorbacks and drop pod, can I make a ood BT army from that?

lol i know this vid is a good year and half old, but thanks man you have given me some motivation to realy put more money into my BT and good strategy too. although i think you said that the emporers champion has a strength 9 power sword, i beleive its strength 6.

nowadays the typhoons are pretty much the biggest bargain in the BT book.

I run 6 of them above 1500 pts.

the other nice thing is 2xCML terminators with tank hunter. a bit pricey though.

awsome idea with the dredy, i didnt think about using tank hunter with the twin link lascannon. i have two dredys so now i have a few new lists to try just bassed off that idea. here's my tip for you since you had a good idea.. get this- 5 man termy with 2 assualt cannons and landspeeder with assualt cannon to back up a dreddy with an assualt cannon. land raider cruisaders already have assault cannons. templars are depent on the them, 4 shots strength 6 rending assault weapons, big points games!

@osscorrupt In that case i have a question. The new Sm codex is the 5th edition, the blackT codex is the older one, does that mean when writeing an army list i should use the updated codex for sutch units that both armys shear; sutch as the dred or rhino, whitch are cheaper.

@1000thVoice i wouldnt waste points on Neophytes to be honest , no vows affect them so they dont benifit from them , im doing my part 2 video on sunday so keep and eye for that ill go on the basic set up for a 1.5k match so you could get a rough idea from that but i will write what your army must consist of to be successfull :

Other things I consider: Grimaldus-he is really good,trilas predators,multimelta attack bikes,multimelta+heavy flamer land speeders,and an assault marine squad (2plasma pistols,one fist,2 combat shields).So many choices,and my local club plays only 1850 pt tournaments...

@1000thVoice Grimaldus is a complete Beast i would reconmend taking him but i usually play 1.5k matches or 3k Apocalypse Lol I dont really deviate from them numbers

HQ:

Marshall ( buy what wargear you want )

Emperors Champ - appect the chall.

And or a Master of Sancity or Castellan

Troop : 2 10 man crusader squads with 1 p fist each all with Close combat Weps.

And a Venerable Dreadnought with lascannons and tank hunters

and a Land raider Crusader, Comes with Extra armour and a multi melta in its points so it is a bargain inside itself really , 265 points

yeah,the thing is i really REALLY want to use the 2 hammerstorm+5 dualclaw sword brethren assault terminators with furious charge combo in my LRC with either the Marshall or a Master of Sanctity to be my battering ram.Add 2 dreads to this and my troop choice is narrowed down to only 2 squads (talking 1850 pts).The question about neophytes was due to the fact that although they are fragile,they also are a lot cheaper,thus easier to cram into a list.

@proziew yes and no but its worth it , if you got a friend who likes ork buy the assault on black reach set , you get like 700 pts of each army for like £55 So like £30 each its a bargain !
