  • between a 5 speed manual and a 6 speed manual, what would you choose for 1/4 mile? thanks

  • @lobzdik don't really know. if your building up a car to dragrace on the weekends and drive during the week. I would say take a automatic trans get a 3000stallspeed convertor and a shift kit. Dragracing with a manual you will wear out the clutch quick.

  • Word of advice to the camera man...never record another video. Hahah.

  • @mlg6992 fyi I recorded this video with a $200.00 digital camera used mainly to take still pics. Seems to be plenty of ppl watching for it to be such low quality.

  • thats not a 67

  • @vokeeangel67 there no side clearance lights on this car which the 68 does have. And the windows are lexon. and half of this car is fiberglass but what is orginal it is of a 67 camaro. if want to know more read my past comments there are plenty on the same arguement.

  • @chevroletracer iys not a 67 it doesnt have wind-wings

  • @vokeeangel67 the windows are lexon. Or plastic, so they won't shadder if broken in a wreck. There are no side clearance lights at the rear fender. I know this is our car.

  • @chevroletracer ok ill tell my friend that was him commenting hes a big camaro freak he has a 78 camaro and he loves the hell outa the thing but ill tell him

  • @vokeeangel67 don't bother your friend. THIS IS A RACE CAR. Not a 1967 clone. we have a colinduction hood with a scoop. both are fiberglass. colinduction was first avilable on the 1969. If you look there are no side mirrors. this is because they are usless on a race car and the door panels are too fiberglass. The truck lid with the wing is also fiberglass. Although the taillights are that of a 1967. And there are no side clearance lights that were on the 1968,

  • @vokeeangel67 So I got the hood, doors, and trunk that is not orginal 1967 camaro. But what we bought from Cabot Classics was that the shell of a 1967 camaro. The fire wall back to the rear bumper. A 1967 camaro didn't come with a Dana 60 rearend or sheet metal interior or 505 cubic engine with 800hp either. So we built a RaceCar and slapped a 1967 body on there with a few fiberglass body parts. I really don't know why I argue with ppl like you.

  • cool

  • that thing is badass

  • @myskater571 Its gotten alittle Badder. Watch the newer videos. carrys the wheels with the new 505ci engine

  • so many bias assholes esp the uploader

  • @omid11 you play with your toys and i will play with mine.

  • lol your honda cant do this

  • @k9arko it will be a cold day in hell before i have a honda

  • @chevroletracer I know brother, I hate ricers, I have a 67 camaro, stock 350

  • @k9arko if i had it wouldn't stay stock very long but it would stay streetable. if i was you i wouldn't sell it. its a survior by now. i hear to much from my dad talk about his 1969 nova SS and my uncle's camaros they both sold. They are two marines with money from fighting in veitnam and bought cars. if you are wondering we didn't cut up a camaro to make this car.

  • Why couldn't the new Camaros look like that?

  • @Chrislav7 Because everyone has their mind set on big wheel diameter and small sidewall tires. Thats one thing. They should have made the new camaros with a solid rear axle also. But they do have true dual exhaust.

  • love that small block scream =)

  • @rebelracer77 thx, i believe everyone at the track thinks the same about our small block and our present 505 which have strong enough valvesprings it will blow the rotating assembly before tapping a valve.

  • facility looks a little scary.

  • @BobR672 talking about the track? What do u really need to put have a dragrace competition? Seems to me all u need is a two lane blacktop and then the timing systems are just extra.

  • @chevroletracer and mabye a nicer guard rail

  • @samlusc10801 Nah, Thats why God gave you two legs to run. LOL

  • @chevroletracer lol im talking about the cars could go rite through there lol

  • @samlusc10801 In 2001 my dad did jump the rail passed the ET Boards at the end of the track he did a 6.35 in the 8th at 117 mph. other than that i haven't heard of that happening.

  • @samlusc10801 Search "Promod Corvette Wreck at Prescott Raceway" It will show what that rinky dinky thing rail is capable of stopping. its not one of my videos but it is at the same track.

  • @chevroletracer he spun them right of the start he wasnt going that fast

  • @samlusc10801 it still held up the railing. the railing doesn't have to be that strong. That video shows the most straight on hit that will happen and it held. two times I have seen two different cars go sideways down the track. both lost it at half track and crossed the finshline over 80mph never touched the rail. both suriously went sideways half track. one was a twin turbo mustang $90K car 10.5 outlaw and a Super Outlaw pro mod Willis.

  • @samlusc10801 ok dude i looked at the prescott raceway website and they just updated the track over this season break with concrete barriers the full length of the track.

  • 6.05 in 8th mile at 114 mph

    NICE!!! 383

  • @pepene93 It looks pretty good with the harwood fiberglass cowlinduction hood and 17x9.5 american racing torque thrust II rims with 17-40-285 nitto tires 275 on the front. The wheels have the right offset. looks mean. looks alot better than alot of newer cars on road.

  • @chevroletracer yeah, those cars have the potential to look good. they also have the potential to look like crap if done wrong tho.

  • @pepene93 I am cool, I just wish i could see the emotion that you had when u typed that. I am one of the few ppl i know that is 20 years old and can brag that they have a car with a V-8 which is a 96 Z28 camaro which does not sound like some bumble bee and also has been not only 114 mph but also in 6.24 seconds personal best in this car

  • so it makes well over 100hp/L with no blower...hmm...and here i thought only hondas with vtec could do that. hahaha. take that, honda! go make more insights

  • @pepene93 You have had a towel over your head way to long. They only make what you call horsepower because of that blower. And besides that a overhead cam engine doesn't make that seat of your pants torque.

  • @pepene93 You have had a towel over your head way to long. They only make what you call horsepower because of that turbo. And besides that a overhead cam engine doesn't make that seat of your pants torque. Yeah come to think about it a 355ic is only alittle more than a 5.7L which is a 350ci

  • Thanks for sharing your videos. Check out some of my videos of a wheelstanding 64 Dodge that runs 9.00@150!

  • That is a great car and video. No disrespect but the car is a 1968 RS SS. I owned two of them , one blown and I wish I never sold it. Great memories of high school. RH DSD

  • @DIOSpeedDemon No disrespect but No it is a 67 camaro. We have had two camaros one was a 68 and one was a 67. And the 67 does not have rear side clearance lights. And the front cap is fiberglass with RS grill glued in so there are no head lights it is just a shell. And the driver side and pass side windows are plexiglass so that did away with the sqivel window.

  • @DIOSpeedDemon I see. I thought I did not see the wing windows , so it must be a 68' My first car in high school was a black 67 camaro, then I bought a 68 ss. Great memories and you have one hell of a great car. Randy H

  • @DIOSpeedDemon You are not understanding. A "RaceCar" does not have the real glass still in it. All glass must be replaced with PlexiGlass a type of plastic. The 68 had side clearance lights This camaro Does Not.

  • @DIOSpeedDemon THEY ARE CALLED VENT WINDOWS MEATHEAD. YOUR ALSO LOOKING AT LEXAN WINDOWS WHICH WOULD NOT COME WITH A (WING) AS YOU LIKE TO CALL THEM. CAN YOU BE MORE OF A LUNCHPAIL?

  • @FUKYURHAT YOu cant tell if the glass is not stock and I dont race cars, so I dont know the rules on Lexan glass. We called them wing windows back in 79' , when the road was full of novas, camaros, z28-1969, malibu, firebirds, mustangs, the judge and all other great cars. SO KISS MY ASS, MOTHERFUCKER.

  • @DIOSpeedDemon your the one that should be kissing mine because this is a 1967. Would you like some soap to go with that dirty mouth.

  • @DIOSpeedDemon WHAT EVER HILL BILLY

  • @FUKYURHAT why is it when someone knows about or likes muscle cars they are a hill billy? or a redneck? or rascist? i love muscle cars and i live in the city.

  • @extracredit100 just forget about what ppl believe because they will always have their opinion on anything and everything

  • shit. 13/1 comp. and a 1050 carb. and i thought a 350 with 750carb and 9/1 comp was good!

  • im rocking the 74 nova hatchback with the 350. yea baby!!!!!!!!!

  • one angry camaro, beautiful

  • Pretty nasty small block....

  • looks like my dads 69 twin lol... he had a 383 with 773 hp 742 tq lol look just like that to... lol i gotta say i do like the car.

  • @subykid13 what did it run in the 8th mile. Thanks

  • this reminds on the movie Fast & The Fourius

  • I was gonna ask why the wheelie bars were on this car but then i read down to where you said it had a 505 in it. Nice straight car, looks like a good bracket car

  • watch my newer videos showing that we are making use of those wheelie bars

  • When this video was flimed we had a 383 in it the wheelie bars were still going to be needed but we were still working out the bugs in car.

  • When you have 700+ horsepower, you don't need to play nice with others. Nice launch.

  • Watch some my other videos with the car having a 505ci carries a pretty good wheelie

  • Dude my blazer has around 700 horses....that would be a damn good race between us!

  • I highly dout it.

  • @chevroletracer Highly doubt what?

  • highly doubt that it would be a good race.

  • I'm wanting to build a 350 for a S10 I'm thinking about getting with a 100 shot of NOS what HP would I get on the dyno?

  • Sorry, dude but we don't play with NOS. I can only tell you to call Jegs and ask them

  • OK how much HP would I have if I bolted a set of Dart Pro 1 215cc heads on it and a pair of 100 domitators on it Comp race cam and running C16 race fuel?

  • what size heads do you have on there? and is it all motor?

  • Yes it is all motor. Fully ported Stage 1 Brodix Heads 11's. Intake valve 2.05 and 1.60 exhaust

  • also 14.5 compression ratio, and some very strong valve springs

  • very true but if i ever build a ride its gunna have a stroker for the money you get alot out of one. as it shows in yaulls car

  • well with a stroker you got to cut alot out of the block to have room for the longer rods. My broke through the water channel. But what he did was ingenius. He cut the head of a bolt and put the treaded part in the hole and welded around it to fix dime sized hole

  • stroker is one of the best engines for the money (:

  • i have seen a el camino in clinton iowa that pushes 950 horse

  • there will always be someone faster.

  • yousaid it has a 383 in it nice buddy had 383 in his truck was a bad truck let me tell you lol very nice car great job

  • thx, it is hard for me to understand how my dad built it from ground up in our shop with a mig welder, a grinder, and a few craftsmen tools. even through i watched him.

  • What are u talking about. People ask me a question or comment on my videos and i reply. I am not a dick. If someone is wrong i tell them the right information. Typing is totaly different than speaking from voice.

  • That makes sence why the vent window is missing , And chill out a bit pal I was,nt trying to prove you wrong was just asking a question thats all

Have a 67 myself and they are great muscle cars and its always interesting to read what other guys have done to there cars for some great ideas I never came across anything about the vent window in your comments thats why I asked the question

  • That comment was a while back about weather it was a 67 or a 68

The only thing that is original 67 is the roof, the quater panels and the door frames. The trunk lid, doors, front cap are fiberglass and the rear fender are too, they have a larger dia. to make room for the big slicks. And the car is tubed out and has a full roll cage chassie. Watch my many other videos and the one with the car having a 505ci engine capable of doing 5.70s. The comment before I was just trying to be funny.

  • your car appears to good old american muscle that you can have alot of fun with. Nice car strait and simple. All the "rambos" that have nothing nice to say should find something better to do with there time. Again, very nice car.

  • you sure its a 67 camaro and not a 68 as the 67 camaro had vent windows???

  • This is the second time I have been over this.

It is a true Drag Car. the windows are plexi glass windows. But from the side of the car there is a support ribeted to the plexi glass to somewhat take the place of vent window chrome piece. It has been gutted out and the floor has been replaced with panels. Believe its a 67 it does not have the side clearness ligths like the 68. We did have a 68. I know what a 68 looks like and my dad ain't no newbie. Today is not ur day to prove someone wrong

  • Dude you have one bad ass car. Just screw those other guys that think they know what there talking about. Love the car!

  • Drag racing is fun to watch, if you're just 10 years old!

  • And you problay think its fun to bang the gears in a rice burner.

You really don't know anything about cars

  • I gotta slam some serious motor in MY Camaro. Damn!

  • chevrolet is true american muscle!

  • Believe that!!!

  • INTAKE AND HEADS IS WHERE THE POWER IS AT

that is why Chevrolet is the best look at Pro Stock in NHRA

  • Sorry but if you have really good heads and intake and all the others parts are Wrong, the motor don't have power...

  • @FireRacer09 Do what?

  • think now i see what u r talking about, of course all the parts of an engine have to work together but the key to get hp is to get the air and fuel mixture quick as possible into the combustion chambers and then out the exhaust which both include having high flow heads. then it goes to lightwieght parts and low friction to have power

  • Exactly... That the people don't understand, they think if the motor have very larger heads, big cam, big carb, there is the hp... and there is nothing...

Pd: Great videos of this camaro :-)

  • what heads and cam were in it ?? 700 ftlbs of torque is alot for a small block ,,

  • Brodix 11,s fully ported and polished

Crane Cam .640 lift intake and exhaust

in the video the car was spining a little

it would run 6.05 in the 8th mile leaving the line at 2,000 rpm just over idle

  • i'm thinking about another one ,, might just do a 355 in the 8000 range. I think a 355 with a turbo 350 might run as good as a 383 with a glide ,, interesting debate

  • the 383 produces alittle more torque because it is a stroker

the stroke of a piston gives u torque the bore gives horsepower

  • The powerglide is alot better than the turbo 350 because it is lighter, more durable, and takes less power to run

  • i like a 355, 383's are cool and all ,, I think people have forgotton just how good they are , everybody is so caught up in making them big ,, i'd rather have a 355 that can wind to 8500 with no sweat, round after round , season after season

  • You have the flow chart of the head after ported them ?

  • It was aleast 15 years ago when they were ported by a company in MO state, so no

  • i agree....balls to 1/8 mile runs...balls to them sir

  • there was only 2 things wrong with that film, 1=The camera dude was crap and 2=I cant have the car

  • well I am sorry that I used a digital camera to film it

  • Wild

  • 1/8 mile tracks suck big hairy balls

  • well arkansas doesn't have any 1/4 mile tracks they have tried to build a few but they did not pass because the noise

Most races are won in the 1/8 mile anyway

  • Wow I see you still have great numbers on the track, with that BBC 505 after you blew the SBC engine you should be put some videos to see that new engine, good luck bro.

  • I will have new videos next spring of 2009 with my dads car and some big time horsepower outlaw cars 1600hp 4.00sec 8th mile times 170+ mph

  • Look, I'm just saying that in this video it looks slow compared to other videos I've seen. I've never drag raced. I don't know anything about drag racing but I watch from envy from the sidelines.

  • Ok like i said we don't have tons of money for an engine we already have atleast $14,000 in the engine with some of the best parts and our new 505 big block we have the strongest valve springs that it will blow the rotating assemably before it even trys to hit a valve

but u can just but a blower on a chevy V8 easy can make 1600 hp but we just bracket race not class

  • sorry that we don't have $50,000 dollars to put into an engine but it is a pretty good ride

There will be always someone faster

  • Thats a big small engine well done, what kind of carburetor is 1050 or 1150 Dominator?

  • 1050cfm holly dominator 4500

sad thing is that my dad didn't know there were different tinsal strengthes for the rod bolts so we blew that motor up. my dad has dragraced all his life he quit for 14 yrs. to raise us kids so now he back at it

Now we have a 505 ci engine capitable of running 5.70s in the 8th mile

  • @chevroletracer DUDE,Tell Dad about ARP rod bolts. You can make tons of HP down low. You dont need to turn that motor 8 grand, ( and it live) with the new school cam shalf profiles of today. Get on your pratice tree and race smart , not hard.

  • @robbiecockrell DUDE my dad has ARP rod bolts. back in the 80s my dad race some stock class with a 1968 camaro shifting at 9200 running. its not fun if you don't push it alittle. Bracket racing is all fun, you are not going to get your money back. I am sure that he believes the same as I. This engine is all gone now we have a 505 that we shift at 7500 it is capatable of 5.70s in the 8th. Watch my new videos to see the new engine.

  • duuude

    what is that its racing?

    the pink one

    is that an impala?

  • it is a 1964 or 65 Chevelle

  • this is a GM Block?

  • yes straight from the chevy dealership 350 block four bolt main had it bored and preped true drag car, no short cuts

  • damn that camrao is to fucking SEXY man

  • this video is awsome mannnnn

  • camera man sucksLOL sweet car though

  • fgh

  • yes around 9.0 to 9.20seconds

  • what would that be in the 1/4? about low 9's or so?
