He could either have the spirit of a boy, or choose to be wise like a man. If you notice that kid at the end, that's the guys kid which basically mean's that he said no to the waitress and decided to be faithful to his wife. Randy Travis has already stated that, this was what the song was about. XD :)

I think Randy Travis made a strong comeback in '98 with this CD. This song and the title track were big hits off this album. Great reflective coming-of-age song!!

Randy did make a great comeback,but i think what happened was that his producer saw more success in t keith. Randy was dropped by his label when he came out with his next cd a man aint made of stone

@brokenheartedfool75 Actually, to be honest Randy is still doing fine. Also, Randy has had more success than Toby Keith. Have you heard of his album 'Around The Bend'? That Album came out in 2008, which was very successful. He's also coming out with a new album now. It's going to be his 25th Anniversary Album. It's going to be released in 2011.
