@superfreak77 I removed everything first then mounted the end cap. Ran around town for a week like that, then made my own baffle (much like a KERKER) and it sounds tough, but not as loud...
the internals of the can are completely empty. it takes some doing but it eventually comes out. Be careful the packing that is stock itches mad crazy! and yes... I cut mine to shorten it, tapped some holes and used some allen head bolts for the bolt up process. Look at his close... you'll see
I finally have one and did this. I love how the VFR sounds down right pissed when on throttle... I still love the look on the peeps faces when you're next to them and you get on it... even they get wood ;) LMFAO
it doesn't mess with the fueling. I was running without the exhaust after the collector and still getting 250 miles out of a tank. It's not a gixxer ;) (I was a gixxer rider for many years until I heard this bike, then changed to accomodate for it. It's a mentality thing.
For me it was easy, the exhaust was included when I bougth the bike a couple weeks ago.
But I do think it is easy, just cut it in half, and thats it.
But it has at some rpm a anoing¿ sound around 4000 rpm not accelerating. But whenever the throttle is open, it sounds great, closed also btw. Some nice roumbling indeed.
Badass sound

did you empty the exhaust, or just trimmed everything -the stuff inside the exhaust- in half and then put back together?

This is a '97 vfr 750F.
