For me, it probably would have been a similar situation except I most likely would have talked a lot less. Knowing how I normally act in a spot like that I can safely say that I would have learned absolutely nothing about her. You handled it much better than I ever could.

Aww I was hoping to hear a success story with the Verizon girl :/ but if you decide to ask her out Good Luck! and if I was in your situation...I don't know its hard,I know girls should make a move sometimes but I can hardly even talk to the guy I like right now and just imagining asking him out makes me red. So yeah I would also be extremely nervous asking someone I just met out.
