Storyline - It's different, usually it's a lot less serious in the beginning.

Gameplay - I prefer this over most FF games, as it has multiplayer and real time battle... turn based can be boring after a while.

Very funny game, very fun and interesting series.

What they are doing from the start is rather easy, all you do is a 3/4 hit combo, base arte, arcane arte, overlimit (which allows you to chain everything) and hold the arte button when they are almost finished for an special arte. Practice some and it'll be a peace of cake. My problem is however that all the enemies are killed before I go overlimit, except bosses but a lot of them interrupt my combos.

I have eternal sonata, and it isnt a BAD game. but its not the best, its pretty short, the battleing gets boring fast,and its REALLY easy. I want tales of vesperia because it has an overworld map, and the battleing is similiar to eternal sonata, but WAY better

I agree that the battle system was WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY­YYYYYYYYY better than the Final Fantasy Series battle system, but Final Fantasy 13 kindda improved it. Final Fantasy series do have better stories though, and Final Fantasy is more famous. but in my opinion, Tales of Phantasia > Final Fantasy 1

Final Fantasy 13's battle system was the most boring one of them all to be honest. I found myself pressing Auto-Battle for "nearly" the entire game and it was more like watching the AI fight the battles for me. If someone would ask me what FF13 is like, I'd say it's flashy but oh so boring.

I knew you would say that, it's a simple thing to say. Yet I think you forget that the battle system is designed to have a very quick "pace". It's not made to leisurely sit back and choose commands manually.

And yes, I too find it exciting to choose commands manually, but it does not have the same battle system as past FF games, making it less usefull and definitely not the best option to take. I can't imagine it being much more exciting in FF13 to begin with actually.

......no, this is a different game thats SYMPHONIA!!! this is VESPERIA tales games never have the same main character twice (unless its a sequal and they have one its called tales of symphonia 2 but lloyd isnt the main in that one but he is usable and obtainable) kratos however is in this game as a cameo battle i beleive.

the thing about hard mode is it doesnt make the monsters any stronger or anything it makes their hp higher i think hard is 1.5x higher and insane is 2x higher ( i remember from Tales of Symphonia!!! beat mithos on insane)

Just wanted to let people know that there's a way to get the demo if you're not in Japan. It's quite simple: Make a Xbox Live Silver membership with area code/city/etc in Japan. It'll trick the xbox into thinking you're actually in Japan, and you will have the Japanese Xbox Live Marketplace (assuming all the information is correct). All of this can be found online (I think I read a guide saying how to create such a membership, with all information included). Downloading the demo now :)

You could put it on the Wii somewhat. The Conduit has 360 graphics on Wii and Tales doesn't work on PC.

No PC. Yes there is free run. It is only going to be released on Xbox. On PS3 was a mistake and it can't be released on the Wii: the system would fry.
