Kelly is an accomplished songwriter in her own right (she won an ASCAP award for "Because of You") but why shouldn't she be allowed to sing other people's songs as well? Aguilera isn't as good a technical singer than Kelly. Granted, she can use melisma far more effectively but her higher range is nowhere near as good as Kelly's. Charlotte Church hasn't sang any classical in a while but her pop voice is nowhere near as good as Kelly's.Mariah used to be amazing but at present, Kelly has a better belting range. Not heard enough from Susan Boyle to comment. To be fair, tone of voice is opinion. But as a technical singer, Kelly is more advanced than others mentioned
