@ idideroo - The problem is in the definitions of conservative and liberal. You should look them up in a dictionary. Socialist or Communist is not part of the real definition of liberal. Liberal is a description of tolerance and openness especially to change. Nazi's were one of the least tolerant regimes ever. That is not liberal that is conservative. Joseph Stalin was not a tolerant person. He was not receptive to those who would disagree with him. That is not liberal that is true conservatism.

Does Beck realize that Hiler's regime was actually the ultra-conservatives of they're country and the Leaders of the Soviet Union could, in no way be considered progressives. Again it was the ultra-conservatives.

@idideroo - did you bother to look up the definitions. Please understand the meaning of these words. Socialism and/ or communism are neither conservative or liberal within themselves. The concept of liberal and conservative are only determined by the intention and implementation of the policies. Hitler can in no way, to any reasonable thinking person be considered liberal. If you think he or Stalin for that matter were liberal please explain how without using the words communism or socialism.

Well, I personally don't the idea of Godwin's Law. Although comparisons to Hitler is alright at times. Doing it too much makes you lose your argument on an issue. It appears Beck wants to criticize authoritarian practices. While both Hitler and Stalin are authoritarian (or totalitarian in this case), their ideologies are completely different. Nazism completely incorporates racism into their nationalism while Communism doesn't. Heck, Marx may be considered to be the early pioneers of,,,
