I misheard so you are currently on 40mg of Dilaudid. Go to 60mg of 10mg "Percocet" or "Percodan" throughout the day. Lower dosage 5 mg to 10mg per day. Sorry about the mistaken info I first gave. I have ADD and a lousy memory. That will be more palatable with less side affects than Dilaudid.

I would switch to "Percocet" or "Percodan" 10mg@ 2 per/dose . If your existing dose of oxycontin is at 30mg time release form. If you still have pain then 3 per/dose. Don't do the 30mg oxycodone pill. Taper down 5mg of "Percocet" per/dose. Don't even consider letting them use morphine or antidepressants. A maintenance dose after your out 5mg Perc's 1 to 2 /day for a month. Then if you feel a let down 5mg of Xanax once or twice a day fo 5 to 6 weeks and taper off .25mg per day at the end. B cool

I've been snorting Percocets and Roxy's every once n a while (around once or twice a week). Usually I do 50-70 mg's when i do them, and I usually have to pay 1$ per mg. Today I bought 8 Dilaudid 2mg's for 8$ a piece and snorted them all. It pretty much felt like I did 40 mg of oxycodone, but the high was much more of a body high. I liked it, but for 64 dollars I could have bought 60 mg of Percs, so it was definitely not worth it at all. Unless you can get 2's for 4 bucks, it's NOT worth it.

Its worth mentioning that I have a needle phobia so I've never injected narcotics, the most I've done was smoke narcotics (H mainly).

Fentanyl is 100x's as morphine. Ive done all of those drugs, & i'm a bit addicted. i have chronic pain i have cluster headaches, & i had a DVT in my leg w/ muscle cell death. If youre debating on what you want to use, depends if its for pain or a buzz. they're all good, but if you are trying to "slow down" stick with the Oxycodone. when you go through withdrawals, your body wants the opiates, and makes you feel pain even greater than it really is. If you really need these medications then take them and don't feel bad. Thats why they're there. They are great for pain relief and like all medications they have side effects and unwanted effects. But you have to understand that you don't need to put up with pain, you can minimize it or control it.

Dilaudid is highly additive med that comes in 4 mg tab or iv push. They are short acting pain med. Oxycontin is very dangerous. You need to stay off these drugs. If you need med to control pain, try subutex. It is administered only by pain control doctors. You would start with 1/2 tab under your tong. This would be your best bet. Good luck. Thanks for your video experience with opioids. One possible solution to bad visual effects is to rotate to another opioid at a 25-50% reduction of an equianalagesic dose. So if on OxyContin 40mg q12h consider morphine 60mg q12h. However, morphine metabolites are usually more troublesome then oxycodone but you may get a short term benefit and then rotate back to OxyContin 30mg q12h. Good Luck

@DoommAnatomy exactly! the medication prescribed for my pain relief (oxycodone hydrochloride (oxycontin) 40mg 4xdaily) actually caused more pain than what was normally experienced (when they started to wear off or if i had run out) the stuff may give some patients exactly what they need. but if not used for pain releif, well, think of it as pharmaceutical heroin.
