I hate the fact that some people hate groundhogs!!! They're just like any other animal and deserve respect. My brother used to shoot them and looking back, I wonder how many innocent babies died because the mom was killed.

u have to stop feeding it oatmeal. Its supposed to eat plants. I have a groundhog mother with 5 lil babies in my yard and they eat grass and other stuff. U shouldnt feed them oatmeal.carrots r ok but dont shove he oatmeal in its face.

groundhogs are supposed to live 5-8 years...and supposed to be in the wild :( 1 year is just sad...oat meal is not ground hog diet by the way so maybe you shouldn't shove out meal in its face while its wanting to sleep : /

My husband found the mommy when it was pregnant and she had the babies while she was caged up-So if u can catch a prego Mom groundhog and half tame it enough to let it let U feed it-there U go-LOL

My dad has had problems with groundhogs in his garden eatting his peas. We just bought a trap at Tractor supply & caught them 1 by 1-and took them way off and let them go!

We had 3 babies and we had 2 of them for 1 year, 1 of them died in the last couple of months. BUT the male-BOOTS-if just fine and is the biggiest baby ever!
